An olefin resin having requirements (I) to (VI) is provided: (I) a grafted olefin polymer containing a main chain with an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer and a side chain with a propylene polymer; (II) the ratio P wt % of propylene polymer is from 5 to 60 wt %; (III) when the ratio of the amount of a component(s) having a peak temperature of a differential elution curve as measured by CFC using o-dichlorobenzene of less that 65&#xb0; C., to the amount of (&#x3b2;) taken as E wt %, the value a represented by an equation (Eq-1), is 1.4 or more; (IV) the melting point (Tm) is 120 to 165&#xb0; C. and the glass transition temperature (Tg) is &#x2212;80 to &#x2212;30&#xb0; C., as measured by DSC; (V) the hot xylene-insoluble content is less than 3 wt %; and, (VI) the limiting viscosity as measured in decalin at 135&#xb0; C. is 0.5 to 5.0 dl/g.

Olefin-based resin, method for producing same and propylene-based resin composition

An object of the present invention is to provide a propylene-based resin composition capable of providing a molded article having an excellent balance between rigidity and impact resistance. The extruded propylene-based resin composite foam () according to the present invention is provided by extrusion-foaming a molding material containing a propylene-based resin. The propylene-based resin forming the extruded foam has an olefin-based polymer whose loss tangent (tan &#x3b4;) is 0.04 to 100 at a temperature of 298 K and a frequency of 10 Hz. The molding material includes a fibrous filler in an amount of more than 0 mass % and 60 mass % or less of the entirety of the molding material. The extruded composite foam () includes: first extruded foam () whose closed cell content is 40 percent or more and whose expansion ratio is 10 or more; and second extruded foam () whose closed cell content is less than 40 percent and whose expansion ratio is 10 or more.

An object of the present invention is to provide an extruded propylene-based resin foam in which a average diameter of cells therein can be reduced while a high expansion ratio remains high, thereby providing an excellent insulation efficiency. The extruded propylene-based resin foam according to the present invention is extruded propylene-based resin foam that is formed by extrusion-foaming a propylene-based resin, and the extruded propylene-based resin foam has the expansion ratio of 10 or more and the average cell diameter of less than 400 &#x3bc;m. With this configuration, the extruded foam can have a plurality of air bubble walls therein. Thus, the extruded propylene-based resin foam can efficiently block external radiant heat, thereby realizing excellent insulation efficiency.

The film has good heat-sealability, high stiffness, good anti-blocking and slipping properties, and high transparency. Disclosed are a binary random copolymer of propylene and ethylene, and a film to be formed by sheeting the copolymer. The film has good impact strength, good heat-sealability, high stiffness, good anti-blocking and slipping properties, and high transparency. As having excellent heat-sealability at low-temperature, the copolymer and its film are favorably used as substrate layers of laminated or co-extruded multi-layered films.
