A method of connection of a priority call in a wireless communication system able to assign channels making full utilization of system resources and to thereby prevent failure of connection (call loss) of an emergency call or other priority call, which sets a maximum threshold Th.III between a critical threshold Th.IV constituting an upper limit, in terms of hardware, on the number of calls able to be assigned channels in a wireless section, and a design threshold Th.II constituting an upper limit, in terms of software design. It assigns a priority call a channel and connects the call to the exchange side even if the total number of calls exceeds the design threshold Th.II, but if it determines that it is smaller than the maximum threshold Th.III, performs breathing when the total number of calls exceeds the design threshold Th.II, and sends a standby instruction message to the terminal side when it determines that the total number of calls has exceeded the maximum threshold Th.III.

Method of connecting priority call in wireless communication system and apparatus for achieving method

Call origination processing in a wireless local loop system, wherein a dial tone generating unit and a control unit thereof are provided in a subscriber terminal located in an access network between a user terminal and a local exchange and wherein a path connection forming unit, a VIP call processing unit, a pre-connected channel control unit and a radio channel establishing unit are provied in an access control apparatus located in the access network. By this, obstacles are prevented from occurring in the service of a VIP call.

Information selectively read out from an information source storing various types of information is repeatedly sent from a center office to a number of terminal equipment units with an error check code added on. The terminal equipment units use the error check code to detect if there is an error in the received information. If the information is received without error, the reception operation is ended for each terminal equipment unit. In this case, there is no interposition of a protocol for confirming if the transmission and reception of the information had been performed normally, so the load on the center office is lightened and it is possible for each of the terminal equipment units to receive the information without error.

A line protection switching system of a duplexed fiber interface shelf makes easily to reconcile conditions of duplexed fiber interface shelves, which perform line switching by employing APS bytes on an ISDN network. The line protection switching system has a pair of duplexed line switching controllers that send a line switching control signal to switch the transmission lines and a pair of duplexed line interface devices operatively connected to the pair of duplexed line switching controllers. An active interface device of the duplexed interface devices receives the line switching control signal only from an active line switching controller of the duplexed line switching controllers and echoes the received control signal back to the duplexed line switching controllers.

A congestion relieving system in a communication system includes a local switch (62a) and a customer station including a network terminator (64a) connected to the local switch (62a) and plural data receiving/transmitting units (65) connected to the network terminator (64a) through buses (67D and 67U) conformable to a DQDB protocol. The local switch (62a) includes a congestion relieving signal generating unit for generating a congestion relieving signal when congestion is detected. The congestion relieving signal is inserted, as a request bit, into a request bit area in the cell having a format conformable to the DQDB protocol. The cell is then transmitted from the local switch (62a) through the network terminator (64a) to the data receiving/transmitting units (65), and each data receiving/transmitting unit (65), is restricted, under the DQDB protocol, to transmit data, when the data receiving/transmitting unit (65) receives the request bit.

A fiber interface shelf is connected to a plurality of subscriber lines on one side and to an ATM switch module on the other side for interfacing between the subscriber lines and the ATM switch module. The fiber interface shelf comprises a plurality of fiber interface cards, each of which is connected to a corresponding subscriber line for terminating the corresponding subscriber line, and a fiber interface common card for interfacing between the subscriber lines and the ATM switch module to transfer signals therebetween, the fiber interface common card having, a plurality of selection gates, each being inputted a pair of outputs of the fiber interface cards and outputting one of the pair of outputs, and a control circuit for controlling each of the selection gates to select and output the one of the pair of outputs.

When data transmission request is issued from the data transmission processor, the failure detector is activated in response to a request to start the timer so as to count a given time interval which has elapsed. If either a request message or data cannot be sent even when the timer reaches a predetermined value, the failure detects signals that a failure has occurred in the dual bus.

A connection hold control system is adapted to a data communication system in which a data communication is alternately made between a first terminal and a second terminal and between the first terminal and a third terminal, where each of the first through third terminals is coupled to a communication network via a terminal adapter. The connection hold control system includes a hold part, provided within a first terminal adapter which is coupled to the first terminal, for holding a first channel which connects the first and second terminals via the communication network and the terminal adapters after a data communication from the first terminal to the second terminal ends, and a connect part, provided within the first terminal adapter, for connecting the first and second terminals via the first channel if a data communication from the first terminal to the third terminal via a second channel ends within a predetermined time after the data communication from the first terminal to the second terminal ends.

A telemetry supervisory system in an asynchronous transmission mode network which discriminates less information when less variation rates occur and more information when more variation rates occur, and provides a transmission system for transmitting the discriminated information as a cell having a fixed length, includes an object detecting and monitoring device, a coder for coding picture signals from the detecting and monitoring device, a transmission unit which changes the output of the coder into cells each having a fixed length and a monitor station. Monitoring information such as a picture image or sound from a monitored object is transmitted by the transmission unit for a discrimination of the information. A number of cells transmitted as data is monitored at the receiving side, e.g. monitor station, and a variation of the number of cells is treated as a change in the state of the monitored object.
