A scanning module () is disposed over a first plate (). A first motor () of moving the scanning module () in a second scanning direction and a second motor () of moving the scanning module () in a first scanning direction are disposed under the first plate (). In this manner, the first motor () and the second motor () being a heat source are disposed on a side opposite to a scanning module () side using the first plate () as a boundary, and thus a transferred amount of heat from the first motor () and the second motor () to the scanning module () decreases. As a result, accuracy of fluorescence detection is prevented from degrading due to thermal distortion of a detection optical system in the scanning module ().

Fluorescence detection device

A fluorescence detection device includes: a light source that emits excitation light in a first direction; a base unit () to which the light source is attached; an opening () that is provided on a side in the first direction of the base unit () with respect to the light source; a cantilever () that is cantilevered to the base unit () to extend from an inner edge of the opening () toward a center side of the opening (); an optical path conversion unit () that is fixed to a free end of the cantilever (), converts a traveling direction of the excitation light emitted from the light source into a second direction different from the first direction, and irradiates a measurement object with the excitation light turned in the second direction; and a photodetection element that is disposed on a side of the opening () opposite to the measurement object and detects fluorescence passing through the opening () in fluorescence emitted from the measurement object irradiated with the excitation light. Accordingly, a loss in the fluorescence guided to the photodetection element can be reduced, and thus fluorescence detection efficiency can be improved.

A lens unit and a lens driving apparatus are provided. First to third guide members have first to third axis lines, and the first to third axis lines are arranged in parallel with each other. A first lens holder has a first lens held by a first lens holding portion with a first main sliding portion guided by sliding on the first guide member, and a first sub sliding portion guided by sliding on the third guide member. A second lens holder has a second lens held coaxially with the first lens by a second lens holding portion with a second main sliding portion guided by sliding on the second guide member, and a second sub sliding portion guided by the third guide member.
