A failure detection system includes: an information processing device mounted in a vehicle or installed on a road; and a vehicle-mounted device mounted in another vehicle. The information processing device includes: a lighting determination device of a rear lamp of a periphery vehicle; an acquisition device of vehicle identification information of the periphery vehicle; and a transmission control device transmitting result information of lighting determination and the vehicle identification information to the vehicle-mounted device. The vehicle-mounted device includes: a vehicle determination device determining whether the periphery vehicle is the another vehicle; and an output device producing an output in accordance with the result information when the periphery vehicle is the another vehicle.

Failure detection system, information processing device, and vehicle-mounted device

An in-vehicle wireless terminal is disclosed. The in-vehicle wireless terminal includes a disconnection detection section for detecting whether an antenna is disconnected, and a determination section for determining whether the vehicle is located within a predetermined distance from a wireless base station. The in-vehicle wireless terminal further includes a control section configured to set transmission power to a maximum value to perform data transmission to the wireless base station if the disconnection detection section detects that the antenna is disconnected and if the determination section determines that the vehicle is located within the predetermined distance from the wireless base station.

A terminal apparatus for communicating with an information center via a network includes: a memory for storing current and new connection destination information when the apparatus receives the new connection destination information from the center; a first trial element for trying communication connection to the center based on the new connection destination information after the center switches from the current connection destination information to the new connection destination information; and a second trial element for trying communication connection to the center based on the current connection destination information when the first trial element fails to perform the communication connection. The memory maintains to store the current connection destination information until the first connection trial element succeeds to perform the communication connection.
