A case body that is integrally formed so as to form a first housing chamber including a rotary electric machine housing chamber that houses a rotary electric machine and a gear housing chamber that houses a plurality of gears and second housing chamber that houses an inverter device includes a peripheral wall portion that surrounds an outer side of rotary electric machine and gears in radial direction, partition wall that partitions first and second housing chambers, and a partition member disposed between the rotary electric machine housing chamber and the gear housing chamber. The partition wall is formed on both sides in an axial direction across partition member so as to extend in axial direction from a position where partition wall overlaps rotary electric machine on outer side in radial direction to a position where partition wall overlaps at least one of the gears on outer side in radial direction.

Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device including a case, a rotary electric machine provided in the case and including power linesU,V, andW electrically connected to a power supply via a power converter (inverter IV), bus barsU,V, andW extending inside the case and joined to the power lines, a hydraulic pump (electric hydraulic pump), and an oil passage including ejection holes through which oil discharged from the hydraulic pump is ejected toward at least one of the power lines and the bus bars.

An input member and a differential gear mechanism include a part arranged on an axial first side with respect to a rotary electric machine. The differential gear mechanism is connected to first wheel via shaft member including part that is arranged on axial second side with respect to differential gear mechanism. A case includes an outer peripheral support portion that is formed along core outer peripheral surface that is an outer peripheral surface of stator core, and that supports core outer peripheral surface in radial direction. A notch portion in which outer peripheral support portion is notched over entire area of arrangement area of stator core in an axial direction is formed in outer peripheral support portion, and notch portion is arranged at position that is between core outer peripheral surface and shaft member in radial direction, and that overlaps shaft member as seen in radial direction along radial direction.

A rotary electric machine is disposed coaxially with an input member more toward a first side in an axial direction than a first gear that meshes with a second gear. A third gear rotates integrally with second and fourth gears that mesh with third gear more toward second side in axial direction than first and second gears. An axis of a counter gear mechanism is below axis of rotary electric machine and axis of differential gear mechanism. An inverter device more toward first side in axial direction than fourth gear and above axis of differential gear mechanism while that inverter device overlaps fourth gear as seen in axial direction. A specific portion of inverter device is between rotary electric machine and fourth gear in axial direction, such hat specific portion overlaps counter gear mechanism as seen in up-down direction and overlaps rotary electric machine as seen in axial direction.

A rotor for rotary electric machine includes shaft that includes flange portion, rotor core that fits to shaft wherein manner that rotational torque can be transmitted between rotor core and shaft, first end plate that covers one end face of rotor core in axial direction, second end plate that covers another end face of rotor core in axial direction, nut member that is screwed to shaft and holds rotor core with flange portion in axial direction, first washer provided between flange portion and first end plate in axial direction, and second washer provided between nut member and second end plate in axial direction. Flange portion protrudes to outer radial side from outer peripheral surface of shaft to which rotor core is fitted. First washer is in contact with seat surface of flange portion in axial direction, and has outer diameter larger than outer diameter of seat surface of flange portion.

Rotor

A rotary electric machine is disposed coaxially with an input member and is disposed more toward a first side in an axial direction than a first gear that meshes with a second gear. A third gear that rotates integrally with second and fourth gears that mesh with third gear are disposed more toward second side in axial direction than first and second gears. An axis of a counter gear mechanism is disposed below both axis of rotary electric machine and axis of differential gear mechanism. An inverter device is disposed more toward first side in axial direction than fourth gear and above axis of differential gear mechanism while being disposed at such position that inverter device overlaps fourth gear as seen in axial direction. A specific portion of inverter device is disposed between rotary electric machine and fourth gear in axial direction, at such position that specific portion overlaps counter gear mechanism as seen in up-down direction and overlaps rotary electric machine as seen in axial direction.

A vehicle drive apparatus includes: a rotary electric machine disposed on a first axis; a differential gear mechanism disposed on a second axis; an output member disposed on the second axis; an inverter device; and a case. The case is a single-piece case internally including: a first housing chamber housing the rotary electric machine; and a second housing chamber housing the inverter device and divided from the first housing chamber with a partition. At least a specified portion of the output member is housed in the first housing chamber. A location of the specified portion in an axial direction overlaps with the rotary electric machine. The partition is provided between the specified portion and the inverter device.

Vehicle drive apparatus

A vehicle drive device includes: a rotating electrical machine that functions as a driving force source for wheels; an input member drivingly connected to rotating electrical machine; a pair of output members each drivingly connected to wheel; a differential gear mechanism that distributes rotation transmitted from rotating electrical machine to pair of output members; a transmission gear mechanism that drivingly connects input member and differential gear mechanism; a hydraulic pump that includes a pump rotor and chamber housing the pump rotor and that supplies oil to at least the rotating electrical machine; and a case. The case includes a partition portion that separates in an axial direction a first housing chamber housing rotating electrical machine and a second housing chamber housing transmission gear mechanism and differential gear mechanism). Pump chamber is formed in partition wall so as to be located between first and second housing chambers in the axial direction.

A rotating electrical machine and an input member are placed on a first axis, a counter gear mechanism is placed on a second axis, and a differential gear mechanism is placed on a third axis. The input member, the counter gear mechanism, and the differential gear mechanism have portions placed on an axial first side with respect to the rotating electrical machine. A pump portion is placed on the opposite side of an imaginary plane passing through the first axis and the third axis from the second axis, and is placed at a location that overlaps at least one of the rotating electrical machine and the differential gear mechanism in an axial view. The pump portion is placed on the axial first side with respect to the rotating electrical machine.

A vehicle drive device includes a rotary electric machine disposed on a first axis, an output member disposed on a second axis parallel to the first axis, an inverter device, a terminal block for electrically connecting a rotary electric machine-side bus bar and an inverter-side bus bar, and a case. The case includes a first housing chamber for housing the rotary electric machine MG, a second housing chamber for housing the inverter device, and a partition wall for separating the first housing chamber and the second housing chamber. A terminal block is disposed such that an arrangement area of the terminal block in an axial direction overlaps the rotary electric machine, and disposed so as to penetrate the partition wall in a radial direction of the output member.

A vehicle drive device includes: a rotary electric machine; a drive transmission mechanism provided in a power transmission path connecting a rotor shaft of the rotary electric machine and a wheel; a first hydraulic pump driven by a driving force transmitted through the power transmission path; a second hydraulic pump driven by a driving force source independent of the power transmission path; a first oil passage that supplies oil discharged from the first hydraulic pump to a rotor bearing that supports the rotor shaft such that the rotor shaft is rotatable; and a second oil passage that supplies oil discharged from the second hydraulic pump to an inner peripheral surface of the rotor shaft.

A vehicle drive device including: a rotary electric machine that serves as a drive power source for a plurality of wheels; an input drivingly coupled to the rotary electric machine; a counter gear mechanism; a differential gear device that distributes a driving force transmitted from the rotary electric machine via the input and the counter gear mechanism, to the plurality of wheels; a case that accommodates the rotary electric machine, the input, the counter gear mechanism, and the differential gear device; and a support that is a separate member from the case, and is fixed inside the case.
