It is provided a process for producing a purified essential oil excellent in safety and quality with high productivity from an essential oil comprising a harmful contaminant such as an agricultural chemical by simply and smoothly removing the contaminant with high removal rate without causing poor balance of flavor which the essential oil originally has, decrease of flavor strength and the like. It relates to a process for producing a purified essential oil by treating an essential oil comprising a contaminant with an active carbon to remove the contaminant and the removal rate of the contaminant is further improved by using an active carbon activated with a chemical, particularly an active carbon activated with zinc chloride, in the treatment, or by conducting the treatment at a low temperature of room temperature or lower, particularly at &#x2212;25&#xb0; C. to 5&#xb0; C.

Process for producing purified essential oil

It is intended to provide a novel deodorant composition which is excellent in the deodorizing effect, is capable of affording a deodorant composition by a convenient method, and shows no decrease in the deodorizing performance even after a long period of time, once the deodorant being prepared. Specifically, there is provided a deodorant composition containing, as the active component, a colored compound obtainable by reacting a polyphenol in a solvent showing alkalinity in the coexistence of an oxygen molecule at a reaction pH value of 6.5 or more. As a substitute for a polyphenol, use can be made of a plant extract containing a polyphenol but containing substantially no amino acid. It is also possible to further employ an amino acid. Furthermore, use can be made of a plant extract and/or a plant body containing a polyphenol and an amino acid.

Deodorant composition

A level shifter circuit includes a first voltage conversion circuit and a second voltage conversion circuit. The first voltage conversion circuit receives an input signal having an amplitude ranging between a power supply potential (GND) and a power supply potential (VDDL), a power supply potential (VDDH) which is higher than the power supply potential (VDDL) is supplied. Further, a current limiting circuit is provided that limits a current supplied from a power supply line of the power supply potential (VDDH), and outputs a voltage signal with a larger amplitude than that of the input signal according to the input signal. The second voltage conversion circuit is supplied with the power supply potential (VDDH, and outputs an output signal with an amplitude ranging between the power supply potential GND and the power supply potential (VDDH).

The antibacterial agent of the present invention comprises, as an effective component, a mixture of coumarin analogues extracted from a citrus fruit pericarp, particularly a mixture of coumarin analogues obtained from citrus cold press oil.
