The electric-power conversion apparatus comprises: switching devices each permitting a current to flow therethrough or shutting off that current; a device temperature detector that detects a temperature of one or more of the switching devices; a cooler that cools down the switching devices; a cooling-medium state detector that detects a state of a cooling medium passing through the cooler; and a control unit that controls the switching devices to perform electric-power conversion, and performs overheat prevention control of the switching devices; wherein the control unit determines a temperature threshold value for judging whether the overheat prevention control is necessary or not, on the basis of the state of the cooling medium detected by the cooling-medium state detector, and performs the overheat prevention control by restricting operations of the switching devices, when the temperature detected by the device temperature detector is higher than the temperature threshold value.

Electric-power conversion apparatus

An electrical power conversion apparatus is provided in which a heat generation abnormality-state such as an abnormal state of a cooling device is determined earlier in its determination, so that it becomes possible to securely perform a protective operation even in the heat generation abnormality-state. A control device estimates a change rate of a temperature detection value on the basis of a switching-element loss calculation value of a semiconductor switching element(s) calculated at least based on an electric current detection value, and compares a temperature-detection change-rate calculation value calculated from a temperature detection value with a temperature-detection change-rate estimation value, so that a heat generation abnormality-state of the semiconductor switching element(s) is estimated.

Electrical power conversion apparatus

The objective is to suppress a delay in the response of pressing force of an electric brake, when braking and non-braking are alternately repeated in an electric-brake control apparatus. An electric-brake control amount calculation unit of an electric-brake control apparatus according to the present disclosure calculates a control amount for securing a clearance between a brake pad and a brake disk, based on a position of the brake pad, calculated by a position calculator at a non-braking time, and secures the clearance by changing the control amount in two or more separate steps at a time when the braking is switched to the non-braking. As a result, it is made possible to obtain an electric-brake control apparatus that can suppress a delay in the response of pressing force of an electric brake, when braking and non-braking are alternately repeated.

Electric-brake control apparatus

A control device for an AC rotating machine includes: switching control means for controlling inverters and motor relays; and abnormality detection means for detecting an abnormality in each system and outputting a result of the detection to the switching control means. When the abnormality detection means detects an abnormality in at least one of the systems, the switching control means causes the motor relay to block a circuit between windings and the inverter in the system in which the abnormality has been detected, and continues normal control in a system other than the system in which the abnormality has been detected.

Control device for AC rotating machine, electric braking device for vehicle, and control method for AC rotating machine

An electric motor drive device includes a smoothing capacitor and an inverter, and further includes an overvoltage protection unit for overvoltage protection for the smoothing capacitor, and a phase short-circuit control unit. The overvoltage protection unit includes: a discharge circuit having a discharge resistor and an IGBT connected in series; and a first determination circuit which determines, with determination delay, that smoothing capacitor voltage exceeds first set voltage, and turns on the IGBT. The phase short-circuit control unit is provided in a control device for drive-controlling the inverter and includes a second determination circuit which determines, with a determination period longer than the determination delay of the first determination circuit, that smoothing capacitor voltage exceeds second set voltage lower than the first set voltage, to perform phase short-circuit control for the inverter.

A switching control unit that ON/OFF-controls switching elements of a power conversion circuit includes a power supply side abnormality determination unit, and a regeneration abnormality response processing selection unit that selects either three-phase short circuit processing, in which all upper stage side switching elements or all lower stage side switching elements are switched ON, or six-switch opening processing, in which all of the switching elements of the power conversion circuit are switched OFF, as processing to be executed when the power supply side abnormality determination unit determines that a power supply side abnormality has occurred, the three-phase short circuit processing and the six-switch opening processing being selected in accordance with a motor operating condition of the AC motor at the time of the determination.

Motor control device and motor control method

The electric motor control device includes: an inverter circuitwhich converts DC power of a DC power supplyinto AC power; and a switching control sectionwhich performs on/off control of a semiconductor switching element composing the inverter circuit. The switching control sectionincludes: a power-supply-side abnormality determination sectionwhich determines whether a power-supply-side abnormal state is established in which regenerative energy from an electric motorcannot be regenerated to the DC power supply; and a switching frequency changeable sectionwhich changes, when the power-supply-side abnormality determination section has determined that the power-supply-side abnormal state has been established, a switching frequency of the semiconductor switching element such that an overall loss, which is a total of loss in the inverter and loss in the electric motor, is increased.
