Disclosed is a vehicle seat () comprising a seat cushion () and a seat back (), wherein the seat cushion and the seat back are comprised of: a frame structure () to be fixed to the vehicle body; and a seating member () supported by the frame structure having an elastic deformation property and a vibration damping property and allow an occupant to be seated therein, and wherein the vehicle seat satisfies the following relationship: D/D&#x2265;20, where Ddenotes a deformation amount of the seating member itself in a situation where a load W is applied at a position Xof the seating member, and Ddenotes a displacement of a position Xof the frame structure corresponding to the position X, in a situation where the frame structure is fixed to the vehicle body, and the given load W is applied at the position X.

Vehicle seat and design method for same

A headrest includes a reverse input blocking clutch and a displacement mechanism. The reverse input blocking clutch includes input and output shafts that respectively receive and output rotational torque, an outer ring and a side plate in which rotation is restricted, cylindrical rollers that control blocking of the rotational torque reversely input from the output shaft and transmission of the rotational torque from the input shaft through engagement and disengagement between the outer ring and output shaft, and a cage to retain the cylindrical rollers. The displacement mechanism has one end fixed to stays and another end fixed to a headrest main body positioned at a top of a seat back, and displaces the headrest main body through the rotational torque from the output shaft of the reverse input blocking clutch. The another end of displacement mechanism has the side plate of the reverse input blocking clutch mounted thereto.

Headrest

A headrest which supports a head portion of a passenger in a vehicle rear collision is attached to an upper portion of a frame of a seatback. A blower to perform ventilation for a passenger's back is arranged at the upper portion of the frame at a position below the headrest. The blower is held at the frame via attaching members, for example. When receiving a large rearward-load from the passenger in the vehicle rear collision, the blower moves rearward relatively to the frame and the headrest according to a rearward move (a rearward swing around an upper frame, particularly) of the attaching member and the like.
