Printing is performed with a printing material accommodated in a printing material accommodation body. Accommodation body information on the printing material accommodation body is acquired. When the accommodation body information on the printing material accommodation body is first information, an operation of a first mode is performed. Meanwhile, when the accommodation body information on the printing material accommodation body is second information, in a case in which a permission condition is satisfied according to communication with a server apparatus, an operation of a second mode is performed.

Printing apparatus and printing system

A printing apparatus includes a setting section setting a reference value that satisfies an execution condition of a periodic maintenance; and a counting section counting a count value from a previous maintenance. A maintenance section performs the periodic maintenance when the count value of the counting section reaches the reference value. In a case where a user maintenance is performed by the maintenance section according to an instruction of a user, when the count value counted up to the user maintenance is a lower limit value or more, the setting section sets the reference value that is a value corresponding to the count value and is the lower limit value or more, while when the count value counted up to the user maintenance is less than the lower limit value, the setting section sets the lower limit value as the reference value.

A printer includes: a printing section configured to perform printing using a plurality of printing materials contained in corresponding printing material containers, a display section configured to display respective remaining amounts of the individual printing materials contained in the corresponding printing material containers; and a controller configured to control display on the display section, wherein the controller performs display control so as to match the display on the remaining amount of a second container other than the first container with the display on the remaining amount of a first container having a smallest remaining amount among the plurality of the printing material containers.

A printing apparatus includes a liquid accommodation body into which liquid contained in a liquid container is configured to be poured, a printing section that performs printing by discharge of liquid supplied from the liquid accommodation body, a counting section that performs counting relating to an amount of consumption of liquid with which a liquid container was contained and counting relating to an amount of consumption of liquid per predetermined period of time, and a delivery request section that, based on a counting result yielded by the counting section, sends the server apparatus a delivery request for a liquid container by a time that is earlier by a delivery period of a liquid container than an estimated timing of completion of consumption of liquid with which a liquid container was contained.

A server apparatus includes a receiving section that receives first apparatus information and associated information in association with each other, a storage section that stores second apparatus information and user information in association with each other, a control section that determines an execution condition based on the associated information received by the receiving section, and a transmitting section that transmits, to a printing apparatus, the execution condition determined by the control section. The control section causes the execution condition thus determined and the user information associated with the second apparatus information that matches the first apparatus information to be stored in the storage section in association with each other. The transmitting section transmits, to the printing apparatus having the first apparatus information that matches the second apparatus information associated with the user information, the execution condition associated with the user information.

Server apparatus, printing system, and management method

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head that ejects a liquid accommodated in a liquid container, a detection unit that detects a remaining amount of the liquid accommodated in the liquid container, and a control unit that operates in a normal mode and a special mode. In the normal mode, the control unit prohibits ejection of the liquid from the liquid ejecting head when the detection unit has detected that the remaining amount of the liquid accommodated in the liquid container has become smaller than a predetermined threshold value. In the second mode, the control unit allows ejection of the liquid from the liquid ejecting head with an instruction from a user as a requirement when the detection unit has detected that the remaining amount of the liquid accommodated in the liquid container has become smaller than the predetermined threshold value.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head which ejects liquid from a nozzle that is disposed on a nozzle surface, and an absorption member which is able to contact the nozzle surface, in which it is possible to perform a first contact operation which causes the absorption member to contact the nozzle surface at a position which corresponds to a nozzle region that includes an opening region of the nozzle, and a second contact operation which causes the absorption member to contact the nozzle surface at a position which corresponds to a non-nozzle region that is a region outside of the nozzle region.

Liquid ejecting apparatus and cleaning device

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection unit including a nozzle formation surface in which an opening of a nozzle for ejecting liquid is formed; a wiper disposed so that the wiper can come in contact with the nozzle formation surface; and a liquid collection portion, which is capable of collecting liquid adhered to the wiper, disposed on an end side of the nozzle formation surface of the liquid ejection unit so as to be spaced apart from the nozzle formation surface in a wiping direction. The liquid collection portion includes a scraper having a scraping surface that scrapes off the liquid adhered to the wiper by coming in contact with the wiper, and a liquid absorbing material disposed at a position that does not come in contact with the wiper and at a position that comes in contact with an end portion of the scraping surface.
