A fluid injection nozzle has an injection port plate, an injection port and a protruding portion. The injection port plate is to be mounted on a downstream end of a fluid injection valve so that a center axis thereof is coaxial to the fluid injection valve. The injection port penetrates the injection port plate between an inlet and an outlet. The protruding portion protrudes from an inner surface of the injection port to shift a direction of at least a part of a fluid flow passing through the injection port to flow in a circumferential direction of the inner surface.

A thermal type air flow amount measuring apparatus is provided for measuring, a amount of air flowing in an air flow passage. The apparatus includes a bypass passage unit for bypassing a part of the air flowing through the air flow passage into the bypass passage. A flow amount measuring device is disposed in the bypass passage unit. A throttle unit is disposed upstream of the flow amount measuring device in the bypass passage unit and a support unit is disposed downstream over the throttle unit to support the flow amount measuring unit.

Thermal type air flow amount measuring apparatus having flow rectifier

An air flow meter disposed in an intake pipe has a bypass member having a U-shaped bypass passage, into which part of air flowing through the intake pipe is introduced. An outflow port disposed at a downstream air side of the bypass passage is surrounded at its three sides by opposing surfaces of a pair of side walls and a wall surface of a partition wall disposed at &ldquo;an upstream air side of the outflow port&rdquo;. Further, the outflow port is opened in an air flow direction in the bypass passage and in an air flow direction in the air flow passage. Therefore, air flowing through the bypass passage is partially discharged into the air flow passage through the outflow port gradually before joining main air flow in the air flow passage, thereby restricting decrease in air flow velocity and occurrence of turbulence in the bypass passage.

Air flow meter

A central member of a sensor unit is inserted through a sensor unit mounting hole of a cylindrical body having a main passage and the sensor unit is assembled on the cylindrical body. The sensor unit comprises the central member which is provided at the center of the main passage and has internally a bypass passage, a flow sensor provided in the bypass passage, a rib which supports the central member, a mounting section which secures the rib to the cylindrical body, an electronic circuit assembled on the rib, and a connector section retaining terminals being connected electrically to the electronic circuit section. Positioning, mounting and securing of the flow sensor can be made simultaneously by a simple process to insert the sensor sensor unit through the hole. Turbulence, eccentricity and others in the upstream air are reduced so that the flow rate of a highly rectified fluid can be measured.

Thermal flow meter with less turbulence in fluid flow

An airflow amount measuring body is formed such that two pipes are arranged in parallel and a bypass passage having an inverted U-shape is provided. The passage sectional areas A1, A2 and A3 of an upstream side passage, a turning section and a downstream passage of the bypass passage are set as A1&lt;A2 and A1&lt;A3, more preferably A2/A1.gtoreq.1.14 and A3/A1.gtoreq.1.20 to suppress contraction flow. A venturi tube section is provided at the lower end of the flow amount measuring body at the peripheral wall of the venturi tube section at the downstream side. A passage enlarging section is provided at the part of the peripheral walls of the venturi tube section at the downstream side where the bypass flow joins, and a guide section for guiding the bypass flow is provided at an outflow port of the bypass passage.

Airflow meter having an inverted u-shape bypass passage

A flow meter for measuring a flow rate of fluid includes a body providing a main passage through which the fluid flows. A plurality of support elements connect an inner wall surface of the body and a central element so as to support the central element substantially at the center of the main passage. An introducing port opens to the central element for introducing a part of the fluid flowing through the main passage. A branch passage is formed within the central element, through which such part of the fluid flows. A sensor is disposed within the branch passage for measuring a flow rate within the branch passage. An outlet opens to a portion of the central element located at upperstream of the downstream ends of the support elements for returning the fluid flowing through the branch passages to the main passage.

The present invention relates to a fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine having multiple cylinder. The present invention comprises a plurality of fuel injection valves, a fuel pipe through which fuel flows, and a plurality of holder means on the fuel pipe so that the fuel from the fuel pipe is supplied to the holder means. The holder means accommodates the fuel injection valve so that the fuel is supplied to the fuel injection valve, and a start timing of the fuel supplied from the fuel pipe to at least one of the holder means is different from the start timing of the fuel supplied from the fuel pipe to the remaining holder means.

The present invention comprises a plurality of fuel injection valves, a fuel pipe through which fuel flows, and a plurality of holder means on the fuel pipe so that the fuel from the fuel pipe is supplied to the holder means. The holder means accommodates the fuel injection valve so that the fuel is supplied to the fuel injection valve, and a start timing of the fuel supplied from the tuel pipe to at least one of the holder means is different from the start timing of the fuel supplied from the fuel pipe to the remaining holder means.

An air flow meter has a cylindrical housing to be coupled to an intake air conduit of a vehicle in a way that a main passage is formed within said housing. An egg-shaped member has a bypass passage formed therein is supported by a plurality of supporting members in a center of the main passage. A flow rate detecting resistance is provided in the bypass passage. There are two throttling portions formed within the cylindrical housing. A downstream throttling portion, which is provided near an outlet of the bypass passage, throttles a flow of air in the main passage near the outlet of the bypass passage so as to cause air in the main passage to be introduced into the inlet of bypass passage by a pressure difference caused thereby. An upstream throttling portion, which is provided upstream of the downstream throttling portion, throttles a flow of air in the main passage so that the flow of air in the main passage is equalized.

An apparatus for measuring a flow rate of gas comprises a gas passage through which the gas to be measured flows in an axial direction thereof, a movable member linearly movable being disposed in the gas passage in a gas flow direction, a flow pipe providing therein the gas passage, a cross-sectional area of the flow pipe being increased along the gas flow direction in at least over a moving range of the movable member, a rod secured to the movable member to extend from the movable member along the gas flow direction, a bearing for bearing the rod for movement in response to moving of the movable member, the bearing being disposed in the gas passage and secured to the flow pipe, a helical spring for urging the movable member towards a direction opposite to the gas flow direction, a potentiometer for converting an amount of displacement of the rod into an electric signal, an amount of the displacement of the rod corresponding to that of movement of the movable member, a first cylinder closed at one end thereof by the movable member and opened at the other end thereof, the first cylinder extending along the gas flow direction, and a second cylinder disposed in the gas passage and secured to the flow pipe, the second cylinder being closed at one end thereof and opened at the other end thereof, the second cylinder being engaged at the other end thereof with the other end of the first cylinder through a minute clearance therebetween.
