A control system for a variable displacement pump driven by a drive source for driving a vehicle is provided. The variable displacement pump pressurizes hydraulic oil, and is switchable between a full capacity operation in which a discharge flow rate is maximized and a partial capacity operation in which the discharge flow rate is lower than that in the full capacity operation. It is determined whether an operation for starting the drive source has been performed. A rotational speed of the drive source and a temperature of the hydraulic oil are detected. When the rotational speed of the drive source is equal to or higher than a predetermined rotational speed and the hydraulic oil temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature, immediately after the operation for starting the drive source is performed, the partial capacity operation of the variable displacement pump is performed. This control suppresses generation of untoward noises caused by the operation of the variable displacement pump when starting to drive the vehicle.

Control system for variable displacement pump

A control apparatus for an automatic transmission mechanism including a continuously variable transmission having a drive pulley, a driven pulley, and a belt extending around the two pulleys. When beginning of the start of a drive source for driving a vehicle has been detected, a first command oil pressure as a command value of a first control oil pressure supplied to a cylinder chamber of the drive pulley is set to a first predetermined oil pressure substantially equal to 0, and a second command oil pressure as a command value of a second control pressure supplied to a cylinder chamber of the driven pulley is set to a second predetermined oil pressure higher than the first predetermined oil pressure. When the detected second control oil pressure has reached a predetermined threshold value, it is determined that filling of the cylinder chamber of the driven pulley has been completed. A control for increasing the first command oil pressure is performed from a time point when completion of the filling of the cylinder chamber of the driven pulley has been determined.

Control apparatus for automatic transmission mechanism

The driving force can be transmitted at the time of both acceleration and deceleration in an engaged state where a first engagement face of a strut is forced to protrude inside a cutaway of a gear. The driving force is transmitted at the time of acceleration and the transmission of the driving force can be cut off at the time of deceleration in a one-way state where the first engagement face of the strut and the cutaway of the gear are made either to engage with or to disengage from each other in accordance with the rotational direction of the gear relative to the rotational shaft. The transmission of the driving force can be cut off at the time of both acceleration and deceleration in a disengaged state where the first engagement face of the strut is forced to withdraw from the cutaway of the gear. In addition, the decreasing of the transmission efficiency caused by friction between the strut and the gear can be prevented.
