An antenna device includes: a ground electrode plate; one or more first radiating electrode plates which face the ground electrode plate; a second radiating electrode plate which lies between the ground electrode plate and the one or more first radiating electrode plates; one or more first feeder lines which are connected to the one or more first radiating electrode plates; a second feeder line which is not connected to the one or more first feeder lines but is connected to the second radiating electrode plate; and a ground line which does not connect the one or more first radiating electrode plates to the ground electrode plate but connects the second radiating electrode plate to the ground electrode plate. The one or more first radiating electrode plates lie inside the second radiating electrode plate as viewed from a thickness direction of the ground electrode plate.

Antenna device and antenna unit

An antenna module including a dielectric substrate having a long side and a short side, a ground electrode, a radiating element, a peripheral electrode, and a parasitic element. The radiating element is disposed to face the ground electrode. The peripheral electrode is disposed along the long side of the dielectric substrate and is electrically connected to the ground electrode. The parasitic element is disposed along the short side of the dielectric substrate and is disposed away from the radiating element. The radiating element is configured to emit radio waves in two polarization directions along the long side and the short side of the dielectric substrate. The shortest distance between the radiating element and the parasitic element is greater than the shortest distance between the radiating element and the peripheral electrode.

Antenna module and communication device including the same

An array antenna is formed of a plurality of antenna modules disposed adjacent to each other and including a plurality of antenna modules. Each of the antenna modules includes a dielectric substrate, a ground electrode, and a sub-array. The sub-array is formed of a plurality of radiating elements facing the ground electrode. In the sub-array, the plurality of radiating elements are arranged in a matrix, and each includes multiple feeding points. The sub-array is disposed along an end portion of the dielectric substrate. The sub-array has a center deviated from a center of the dielectric substrate toward the end portion. An end portion of a first antenna module faces an end portion of a second antenna module in a first direction that is defined as a direction from the first antenna module toward the second antenna module. The first antenna module is rotationally symmetric to the second antenna module.

Antenna module and array antenna

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate including a plurality of laminated dielectric layers, a radiating element, a ground electrode, and a peripheral electrode. The ground electrode opposes the radiating element. The peripheral electrode is on a layer between the radiating element and the ground electrode and electrically connected to the ground electrode. The radiating element radiates a radio wave in a first polarization direction. A dimension of the ground electrode in the first polarization direction is shorter than a dimension of the ground electrode in a specific direction orthogonal to the first polarization direction. When the dielectric substrate is seen in plan view in a layered direction, at least a portion of the peripheral electrode is disposed between an end portion of the ground electrode and an end portion of the radiating element in the first polarization direction.

Antenna module and communication device equipped with same

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate, in or on which a feed element is formed, a dielectric substrate, in which a ground electrode (GND) is formed, and conductive members. The dielectric substrate is disposed opposite the dielectric substrate. When viewed in plan in the direction normal to the feed element, the conductive members are disposed around the feed element. An air layer is formed between the dielectric substrate and the dielectric substrate. The conductive members are formed in the air layer.

An antenna module includes a radiation element including feeding elements adjacent to each other, a feed wiring, a ground electrode, and a filter circuit. The ground electrode is disposed to face the radiation element. The feed wiring transmits a radio frequency signal from an RFIC to the radiation element. The filter circuit is connected between a feed circuit and the feed wiring. The ground electrode includes a first portion facing the radiation element, and a second portion arranged in a layer at an upper side closer to the radiation element than the first portion. In plan view of the antenna module from a normal direction, i) the second portion is disposed between the two feeding elements, and ii) the filter circuit overlaps the second portion and is disposed in a layer at a lower side than the second portion.

Antenna module and communication device equipped with the same

An element assembly has a structure in which insulator layers including first and second insulator layers are laminated in an up-down direction. The first insulator layer is above the second insulator layer. A radiant conductor layer is on an upper surface of the first insulator layer. A first capacitance defining portion includes a first interlayer connection conductor passing through one or more of the insulator layers in the up-down direction. The first interlayer connection conductor is electrically connected to the radiant conductor layer. The radiant conductor layer, a ground conductor, and the first capacitance defining portion define and function as a patch antenna. When the first interlayer connection conductor is electrically connected to the radiant conductor layer, a distance from a lower end of the first interlayer connection conductor to the ground conductor in the up-down direction is shorter than a distance from the radiant conductor layer to the ground conductor in the up-down direction.

Multilayer board

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate, a radiation electrode, a ground electrode, and a current-interrupting element. The radiation electrode is disposed in a layer of the dielectric substrate, and the ground electrode is disposed in another layer of the dielectric substrate. The current-interrupting element is electrically connected to the ground electrode. The current-interrupting element is configured to interrupt a current flowing through the ground electrode. The current-interrupting element has a first edge portion electrically connected to the ground electrode and a second edge portion left open and includes a planar electrode parallel to the ground electrode. The dimension of the current-interrupting element in the direction from the first edge portion to the second edge portion is about λ/4, where λ is the wavelength of a radio-frequency signal radiated from the radiation electrode.

Antenna module, communication module, and communication device

A dual-band antenna device allowed to perform communication at a first frequency in a predetermined frequency band and at a second frequency in a frequency band higher than the predetermined frequency band includes: a ground conductor; a folded antenna conductor including a first linear part and a second linear part that are caused to face each other at a distance by folding; an LC resonant circuit that is included in the folded antenna conductor, that lets the first frequency pass, and that lets the second frequency attenuate; and a feeding point between the ground conductor and the folded antenna conductor. A narrow gap part is provided between the first linear part and the second linear part of the folded antenna conductor, the narrow gap part measuring a distance shorter than a distance measured in a different portion between the first linear part and the second linear part.

Antenna device and radio communication device including the same

An antenna module includes a radiation electrode in which a radio frequency signal is supplied to a first feed point and a second feed point. The antenna module further includes a feed wire configured to supply a radio frequency signal to the first feed point of the radiation electrode and a feed wire branching from the feed wire and configured to supply a radio frequency signal to the second feed point. The feed wire includes two paths connected in parallel between the first feed point and the second feed point and having the same length. The paths are disposed so as to be mutually line-symmetric in plan view of the antenna module with respect to a straight line connecting the first feed point to the second feed point.

A patch antenna includes: a ground conductor pattern lying in a plane and set to ground potential; a feeding conductor pattern lying in a plane and disposed in a manner so as to face the ground conductor pattern, the feeding conductor pattern having feed points that are opposite to each other with respect to a center point of the feeding conductor pattern; feed lines that are connected in parallel between the feed points and are of different lengths; and a frequency selection circuits disposed on a path of at least one of the feed lines, the frequency selection circuits being configured to allow passage of radio-frequency signals in one frequency band and to attenuate radio-frequency signals in another frequency band.

Antenna element, antenna module, and communication device

The dual-band antenna device includes: a feeding electrode that branches into a first branch feeding electrode that serves as a low-frequency signal path and a second branch feeding electrode that serves as a high-frequency signal path; and a radiation electrode having a rectangular shape with a longitudinal direction and having a low-frequency feeding point to which the first branch feeding electrode is electrically connected and a high-frequency feeding point to which the second branch feeding electrode is electrically connected. In the radiation electrode, the low-frequency feeding point or the high-frequency feeding point is formed close to an end portion of the rectangular shape in the longitudinal direction, and the high-frequency feeding point or the low-frequency feeding point is formed at a center portion of a side of the rectangular shape that extends in the longitudinal direction.

Dual band antenna device

Radiation electrodes are formed on a dielectric base body of an antenna chip. A capacitive feeding electrode is formed on a first end surface of the dielectric base body. A ground electrode, a feeding circuit connection electrode, feeding lines, a tip electrode, and the like are formed on the top surface of a base member of a substrate. When a first switching element selects the feeding line side, a second switching element is made to enter a conducting state. In this state, the radiation electrodes are capacitively fed. When the first switching element selects the feeding line side, the second switching element is made to enter an open state. In this state, the radiation electrodes are directly fed. In this manner, the directivity direction of an antenna can be switched using a single radiation element.

Antenna device, antenna module, and portable terminal

A chip antenna and an antenna apparatus, which allow the resonance frequency of the antenna to be set with a high degree of freedom, include a feeding electrode formed on the bottom surface, fourth side surface, and top surface of a dielectric substrate, a non-feeding electrode formed on the bottom surface, third side surface, and top surface of the dielectric substrate, wherein the leading ends of the feeding electrode and the non-feeding electrode are facing each other with a predetermined distance therebetween on the top surface of the dielectric substrate. The chip antenna and antenna apparatus further include a frequency adjusting electrode formed on the first side surface of the dielectric substrate, and ground electrodes connected to ground electrodes of a circuit substrate on which the chip antenna is mounted, wherein the ground electrodes are electrically connected to the frequency adjusting electrode and are formed on the bottom surface of the dielectric substrate.

Chip antenna and antenna apparatus

An antenna includes linear electrodes disposed on a surface of a substrate. A surface-mount antenna element including a capacitor is disposed in a non-ground region of a mount board. The capacitor is arranged such that portions of at least one of two linear electrodes face each other with a predetermined distance therebetween. The non-ground region includes a first radiation electrode and linear electrode portions of a second radiation electrode. The linear electrodes of the surface-mount antenna element are individually connected to the radiation electrodes. A chip reactive element is disposed at the first radiation electrode and the linear electrode portions of the second radiation electrode as appropriate.
