This disclosure relates to a front trunk configured to facilitate wireless charging. In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a motor vehicle, including: a front trunk including a wireless charger configured to wirelessly charge an electronic device adjacent the front trunk.

Front trunk configured to facilitate wireless charging

An adapter plug for a charging port of an electric vehicle includes a housing, a first electrical connector, and a second electrical connector. The housing has circuitry disposed therein. The first electrical connector is integral to the housing, faces a first direction, and has a first profile. The first profile is configured to mate with the charging port and connect the circuitry to the charging port. The second electrical connector is integral to the housing, faces a second direction opposing the first direction, and has a second profile. The second profile matches the charging port. The second profiled is configured to mate with a connector head of a charging station and connect the circuitry to the connector head.

Adaptor plug for an electric vehicle

A vehicle includes a dashboard having an underside that extends over a foot well, a floor having a base portion and an inclined portion that at least partially defines the foot well and extends vehicle-upward and vehicle-forward from the base portion beneath the dashboard, a seating assembly that corresponds with the foot well and includes a seat base and a seatback, and a foot rest positioned vehicle-upward of the inclined portion of the floor and having an upper support surface configured to support the feet of an occupant of the seating assembly. The foot rest is at least one of positioned within the foot well and at least partially defining the foot well.

Interior system of a vehicle

A vehicle includes a support structure. The vehicle also includes a side door operable to move relative to the support structure between an open position and a closed position. In the open position of the side door, access to a vehicle interior of the vehicle is provided. In the closed position of the side door, the side door extends across a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a plurality of pivot members, each pivotably coupled to the support structure at a first end and pivotably coupled to the side door at a second end. The side door is movable between the open and closed positions via pivotal movement of each of the plurality of pivot members relative to the support structure and pivotal movement of the side door relative to each of the plurality of pivot members.

An interior system for a vehicle includes a seating assembly that is coupled to the vehicle. An armrest corresponding with and in a spaced-relationship with the seating assembly is operable to translate in a seating assembly-lateral direction from a first position to a second position. In the first position of the armrest, the armrest is a first distance from the seating assembly. In the second position of the armrest, the armrest is a second distance from the seating assembly. The first distance is greater than the second distance.

A vehicle includes a dashboard having a lower portion that defines a recess. The lower portion has a bottom surface and a recess surface. The bottom surface is adjacent to the recess surface, and the recess surface of the lower portion defines the recess. The vehicle also includes a desk operably coupled to the dashboard and movable between an undeployed position and a deployed position. In the undeployed position, the desk is received within the recess and an underside surface of the desk is generally flush with the bottom surface of the lower portion of the dashboard. In the deployed position, the position of the desk is further vehicle-rearward than the position of the desk in the undeployed position.

A charging station includes a charging head and a plurality of electrical connectors. The charging head is slidable along a track and rotatable along an axis. The plurality of electrical connectors is secured to the charging head and is disposed radially about the axis. Each of the electrical connectors have a different profile and are configured to engage an electrical port of an electric vehicle having a matching profile to charge the battery of the electric vehicle. The charging head is configured to slide along the track and rotate along the axis to align each of the electrical connectors with a corresponding electrical port. Each of the electrical connectors is configured to advance from and retract to the charging head to engage and disengage the corresponding electrical port.

A console table assembly for a vehicle includes a base movably coupled to a floor of the vehicle, a pivot arm having a first end pivotably coupled to the base and a second end that is distal from the first end, a table pivotably coupled to the pivot arm at the second end and having a top side and an underside opposite the top side, a panel coupled to the table and operable to move relative to the table from a first panel position to second panel position, and a foot rest coupled to the base and operable to move relative to the base from a retracted position to a deployed position.

Console table assembly for a vehicle

A vehicle includes a steering wheel support assembly that includes a trim component that defines a trough. The vehicle further includes a steering wheel operably coupled to the steering wheel support assembly and operable to pivot about a first axis from a steering wheel use position to a steering wheel stowed position. In the steering wheel use position, the steering wheel is operable to rotate about a second axis to steer the vehicle. In the steering wheel stowed position, a portion of the steering wheel is received within the trough defined by the trim component.

A vehicle interior system for a vehicle includes a steering wheel support assembly operable between retracted and extended positions and having a steering wheel coupled thereto, a foot pedal disposed within a foot well of the vehicle and operable between a foot pedal use position and a foot pedal stowed position, and a foot rest disposed within the foot well and operable between a foot rest use position and a foot rest stowed position. The movement of the steering wheel support assembly toward the retracted position causes the foot pedal to move toward the foot pedal stowed position and the foot rest to move toward the foot rest use position.

A vehicle interior system of a vehicle includes first and second seating assemblies and a roof positioned vehicle-upward of the first and second seating assemblies. A first head restraint of the first seating assembly is pivotably coupled to the roof and operable to pivot relative to the roof about a first pivot axis between a stowed position and a use position vehicle-downward of the stowed position. A second head restraint of the second seating assembly is coupled to the roof and operable to pivot relative to the roof about a second pivot axis between a stowed position and a use position vehicle-downward of the stowed position. The first pivot axis is not parallel to the second pivot axis.

A vehicle includes a body and a charging pad. The body defines first and second wheel wells on opposing lateral sides of the body. The body defines a cavity along a bottom surface of the body between the wheel wells and a rear end of the vehicle. The charging pad is disposed within the cavity such that the charging pad spans a distance between the first and second wheel wells. The charging pad has a secondary coil disposed therein. The secondary coil is configured to receive electrical power from a primary coil of a charging station via induction to recharge a vehicle battery.
