A seat belt structure for a vehicle includes a safety belt webbing configured to restrain an occupant of a seat of the vehicle and extending along a height of a side lining of the vehicle. The seat belt structure also includes a tongue movably connected to the safety belt webbing and adapted to move along the safety belt webbing. Moreover, the seat belt structure includes a belt holder engaged to the side lining and defining a cavity therebetween. The belt holder is arranged proximate to a floor of the vehicle. Further, a portion of the seat belt webbing extends and is held between the belt holder and the side lining, and the belt holder is configured to removably hold a portion of the tongue inside the cavity.

An illuminated speaker panel assembly with an integrated audio seal is described. In one embodiment, an illuminated speaker panel assembly for a vehicle includes a speaker configured to mount to a door body of a vehicle and a base panel component configured to attach to the door body over the speaker. The base panel component includes a speaker frame aligned with an outer periphery of the speaker. The speaker frame includes an outer sealing wall, an inner retention wall, and a channel disposed between the outer sealing wall and the inner retention wall. A lighting member is disposed within the channel of the speaker frame such that the lighting member is configured to extend substantially along the outer periphery of the speaker.

A sunshade assembly for a vehicle door includes a housing including a storage portion configured to support a retractor for a sunshade, and a guide portion configured to guide the sunshade into and out of the storage portion. The guide portion includes a first wall and a second wall extended from the storage portion. The first wall and the second wall together define an elongated first opening for extension of the sunshade from the retractor. A sunshade garnish includes a base wall having an elongated second opening aligned with the first opening. A mounting flange depending from the base wall flanks the first wall and is directly connected to an outer surface of the storage portion. A weather-strip support covered by the sunshade garnish includes a mounting tab flanking the second wall and directly connected to the outer surface of the storage portion.

Vehicle sunshade assembly

This disclosure provides a door lining upper base and a method of manufacturing the door lining upper base through injection molding of several sub-components. The door lining upper base is manufactured by separately injection molding a base substrate that forms the structural shape of the door lining upper base including aesthetic curvature, and first and second support structures that include attachment mechanism for connecting the door lining upper base to other aspects of the motor vehicle. In this way, each sub-component may be injection molded in a cost effective manner using a two-piece mold without the need for complex multi-part molds including side-sliders or lifters. The resulting door lining upper base therefore includes an aesthetic curvature, while still being manufactured in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Door lining upper base and method of manufacture

A modular side lining forming a portion of an interior surface of a motor vehicle includes a first lining member having a recessed portion, a side portion, and an upper surface portion, a second lining member, and a rear stiffener defining a rear edge of the recessed portion of the first lining member. The second lining member includes one of a plurality of bins configured to be received in the recessed portion of the first lining member and one of a plurality of lids covering a portion of the bin and forming a side surface of the modular side lining with the side portion of the first lining member. The combination of bins and lids may be selected based upon a plurality of different functional configurations.

A multi-torque double pivot hinge includes a first leaf having a first body and a second leaf having a second body. A first hinge shaft extends through the first body and defines a first pivot axis. A second hinge shaft extends through the second body and defines a second pivot axis. A connector connects the first leaf to the second leaf. The second leaf together with the connector is rotatable about the first pivot axis between a closed position and an intermediate open position. The connector engages the first leaf in the intermediate open position which prevents rotation of the connector past the intermediate open position and transfers a pivoting axis from the first pivot axis to the second pivot axis. The second leaf is then rotatable about the second pivot axis between the intermediate open position and a fully open position.

Multi-torque double pivot hinge for a closure of a vehicle

A collision absorption system including a collapsing armrest. The armrest is configured to provide support for vertical loading during use. During a side impact collision, the armrest is configured to deform or collapse in a lateral direction. The collapsing armrest may include multiple layers with at least one layer having grooves and channels, or containing cross-ribs, to allow greater deflection in a lateral direction during a side impact collision.
