A tracking device and system is provided. In one aspect the tracking device comprises more than one type of transceiver; a GPS receiver; a microcontroller which controls the transceivers and GPS receiver; a power source for providing power to the transceivers, GPS receiver and microcontroller; and a secure band for attachment to a wearer. The tracking system includes a tracking device comprising more than one type of transceiver and a GPS receiver; a user device configured to send a wakeup signal to the tracking device; and a communication channel for communication of a function command to the tracking device.

A master key may be used by each participant in a secure communication. Indeed, each participant may select and encryption key from a distinct end of the master key. To eliminate a necessity for the end points in the secure communication to maintain a master key corresponding to every possible correspondent, the participants may communicate through an encryption server.

A method of publishing a work of literature on a network includes transmitting a published portion of the work of literature to a device via the network. The published portion includes an indication that a keyword has been sold to a purchaser for at least one appearance of the keyword in the published portion. The method also includes adding a new installment to the published portion, and updating the published portion to include the indication that the keyword has been sold for at least one appearance of the keyword in the new installment at no additional monetary cost to the purchaser of the keyword.

An injection molding apparatus is disclosed having an actuated part that is movable in forward and rearward directions with a coupling part attached thereto having a spring coupling and a magnetic coupling. A valve pin for opening and closing a mold gate is coupled to the coupling part to be movable with the actuated part. When the actuated part is moved and the valve pin experiences a stopping force, either a spring of the spring coupling is positioned for dampening the stopping force encountered by the valve pin or the magnetic coupling, which is magnetically coupled to the actuated part and/or the valve pin, decouples from the actuated part or the valve pin to limit or prevent continued movement of the valve pin with the actuated part.

A method of publishing a work of literature includes storing the work of literature on a first computer being coupled to a network, the work of literature containing a plurality of keywords including all unique words in the work of literature; freely transmitting the work of literature to other computers on the network in response to display requests from the other computers; receiving a purchase request for a keyword in the work of literature from a second computer via the network; and updating the work of literature on the first computer to contain an indication that the keyword has been purchased for each appearance of the keyword in the work of literature.
