An inflatable slide may comprise a ramp portion and a slide portion having a head end attached to the ramp portion and a toe end opposite the head end. A safety gate readiness indicator may be located between the head end of the slide portion and an entrance of the ramp portion. The safety gate readiness indicator may be configured to translate between a transverse position and an erect position.

An inflatable slide may comprise a ramp portion and a slide portion having a head end attached to the ramp portion and a toe end opposite the head end. A ramp barrier readiness indicator may include a bendable portion located proximate the head end of the slide portion. The ramp barrier readiness indicator may be configured to pivot between a raised position and a lowered position in response to inflation of the slide portion.

A sea anchor includes a textile tube and a resiliently flexible support. The textile tube may include a first end and a second end. The first end may have a rim defining a mouth and the second end may be closed. In various embodiments, the resiliently flexible support is coupled to the first end of the textile tube. The resiliently flexible support, in response to the sea anchor being deployed, may be configured to expand the mouth and retain the mouth open. In various embodiments, the textile tube has a conical shape, with the mouth of the first end being a base of the conical shape and the second end being a point of the conical shape. The resiliently flexible support is a ring coupled to the rim of the first end of the textile tube, according to various embodiments.

A release system for an evacuation slide assembly of an aircraft includes a fluid delivery manifold, a first actuator, and a second actuator. In various embodiments, a fluid is configured to flow into and pressurize the fluid delivery manifold from a fluid source in response to an evacuation event. In various embodiments, the first actuator is fluidly coupled to the fluid delivery manifold, wherein the first actuator is configured to release a blowout panel of the evacuation slide assembly in response to the fluid pressurizing the fluid delivery manifold. In various embodiments, the second actuator is fluidly coupled to the fluid delivery manifold, wherein the second actuator is configured to release a soft cover of the evacuation slide assembly in response to the fluid pressurizing the fluid delivery manifold.

A retention assembly for a valve assembly of a charged cylinder may comprise a first fitting coupled to the valve assembly and a second fitting coupled to the charged cylinder. A retaining member may be coupled between the first fitting and the second fitting. The retaining member may be disposed within an interior chamber of the charged cylinder.

Systems and methods for evacuation systems are provided. A evacuation system for an aircraft may include a packboard, an inflatable, a blow-out panel for the packboard, and a plurality of straps coupled to the blow-out panel. A first strap is coupled between an inner surface of the blow-out panel and the packboard and a second strap is coupled between the inner surface of the blow-out panel and the inflatable. The first strap is coupled to the blow-out panel in close proximity to a first edge of the blow-out panel and the second strap is coupled to the blow-out panel in close proximity to a second edge of the blow-out panel, the first edge being positioned opposite the second edge of the blow-out panel. The blow-out panel may be retained to the evacuation system after the inflatable is deployed.

Systems and methods for retaining removable panel when deploying evacuation system

A load-bearing attachment assembly is provided for mounting a structure to an aircraft. The load-bearing attachment assembly comprises a male fastening component and a female fastening component. The male fastening component comprises a radially-extending head, a first aperture, and a cylindrical portion extending perpendicular to the radially-extending head. The cylindrical portion has a first threaded portion circumferentially disposed on an outer surface of the cylindrical portion. The radially-extending head comprises a first clamping surface. The female fastening component comprises an annulus enclosing a second aperture, a second clamping surface disposed on the annulus, and a second threaded portion circumferentially disposed on an inner surface perpendicular to the second clamping surface. The first aperture and the second aperture are configured for a fastener to extend therethrough. In response to rotation of the fastener, first clamping surface translates toward second clamping surface.

Mounting systems including load-bearing attachment assemblies and methods for mounting structures to an aircraft

An evacuation assembly of an aircraft may include an evacuation slide and a sheet coupled to the evacuation slide. The sheet may be deployable in a negative lift configuration and a canopy configuration. In the negative lift configuration, the sheet may extend across at least a portion of an underside of the evacuation slide. In the canopy configuration, the sheet may extend over at least a portion of a top side of the evacuation slide. The evacuation assembly may also include a support that is coupled to and extends between the top side of the evacuation slide and the sheet in response to the sheet being in the canopy configuration.

Dual configuration evacuation assembly

An evacuation assembly of an aircraft includes an evacuation slide and a sheet coupled to the evacuation slide. The sheet may be deployable in a wind curtain configuration and a canopy configuration. In the wind curtain configuration, the sheet may extend, as a substantially vertical panel, longitudinally along opposing lateral sides of the evacuation slide. In the canopy configuration the sheet may extend over at least a portion of a top side of the evacuation slide. In the canopy configuration, the sheet may include a first portion that is the substantially vertical panel that extends longitudinally along the opposing lateral sides of the evacuation slide and a second portion that extends over the top side of the evacuation slide. The second portion of the curtain may in a furled, collapsed form in the wind curtain configuration and may be configured to unfurl in the canopy configuration.

A lightning strike dispersion structure may include a composite component having an outboard surface, wherein the composite component is electrically nonconductive. The lightning strike dispersion structure may include a metal sheet coupled to and extending across a minority portion of the outboard surface of the composite component, wherein the metal sheet is electrically conductive. The lightning strike dispersion structure may also include a metal stud coupled to and in electrical contact with the metal sheet, the metal stud extending completely through the composite component, wherein the metal stud is electrically conductive.
