Concepts disclosed relate to multi-frame prosthetic valves including leaflet and anchor frame subcomponents, where the leaflet frame subcomponent does not directly couple with patient anatomy and is separated from the anchor frame subcomponent by a gap/space. An optional connecting sheath may be provided to interconnect the subcomponents and assist with prosthetic valve delivery and deployment. One or more bridging members, or annular groove covers, are provided to bridge and cover gap or space between the anchor frame subcomponent and leaflet frame subcomponent, such as at the inflow and/or outflow ends of the subcomponents. Such bridging/cover features may provide smoother flow profiles, reduce incidence of complications, facilitate perfusion during delivery, assist with device nesting during delivery, assist with relative subcomponent positioning following delivery, or provide any of a variety of additional or alternative functions and advantages.

Valve with multi-part frame and associated resilient bridging features

A system can include a prosthetic heart valve having a commissure post configured to receive a first portion of a fiber and a suture support configured to engage with the prosthetic heart valve. The suture support can include a first portion to interface with an inflow side of the prosthetic heart valve and a fiber holding portion to receive a second portion of the fiber. A second portion of the suture support can be coupled to the first portion of the suture guard and be movable inwardly toward the first portion of the suture guard to transform the fiber from a non-tensioned state to a tensioned state. The fiber in the tensioned state can cause the commissure post to bend inward toward a longitudinal axis of the prosthetic heart valve.

An implantable device is disclosed. The device includes a leaflet frame subcomponent and an anchor frame subcomponent that are configured to be delivered in a series configuration and subsequently nested or telescoped in-situ.

Described embodiments are directed toward centrally-opening leaflet prosthetic valve devices having a leaflet frame and a mechanically coupled leaflet. The described leaflet frames have projections that are configured to couple with a leaflet attachment region of a leaflet. Some embodiments include a leaflet retention feature that engages the leaflet frame projections and operates to secure the leaflet to the leaflet frame. Methods of making and using such prosthetic valve devices are also described.

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods that include a prosthetic valve. The prosthetic valve may include a jacket configured to cover at least one of gaps, spaces, or interfaces in a frame or between one or more leaflets attached to the frame.

A system includes a heart valve and a device that functions to minimize a possibility for suture becoming entangled with a commissure post of the heart valve during an implantation procedure. In some examples, the device is a suture guard that includes one or more features that deflect suture to help minimize entanglement of the same with the commissure posts of the heart valve. In some examples, the features operate to deflect the commissure posts radially inwardly, while in other examples, the features overlay the commissure posts without deflecting that same.
