In particular aspects, audio eyeglasses include: a frame for resting on a head of a user, the frame comprising: a lens region; a pair of arms extending from the lens region; and a hinge coupling the lens region and one of the pair of arms, the hinge comprising: a body; a friction element coupled to the body for damping the movement of the arm relative to the lens region; and a cavity within the body, the cavity sized to accommodate a cable extending therethrough, the hinge permitting movement of the arm relative to the lens region; and an electro-acoustic transducer at least partially housed in the frame and comprising a sound-radiating surface for providing an audio output.
