A system for repositioning rails in a cargo bay of an aircraft. The system includes a base configured to be coupled to a structure in the cargo bay and having a first side and a second side. The system further includes a cradle for receiving a rail for restricting movement of a unit load device (ULD) in at least one direction, the cradle configured to position the rail between a first position and a second position in which the rail is closer to the second side of the base than when the rail is in the second position.

In various embodiments, the cargo handling system includes a first rail defining an upward facing surface and a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction; a platform having a first recessed channel configured to engage an upper portion of the first rail to prevent a movement of the platform in the lateral direction and configured for rolling engagement with the first rail; and a first drive assembly disposed within the platform and configured to propel the platform along the first rail in the longitudinal direction, the first drive assembly having a first drive roller and a first motor.

A restraint assembly includes a fitting base, a bushing, and a restraint roller disk, according to various embodiments. The fitting base includes a fitting lower surface and a fitting upper surface that is angled relative to the fitting lower surface, according to various embodiments. In various embodiments, the bushing is configured to be disposed about the anchor. In various embodiments, the restraint roller disk includes a roller upper surface and a roller lower surface, wherein the restraint roller disk is configured to be rotatably coupled about the bushing and the roller lower surface is configured to engage the fitting upper surface of the fitting base.

In various embodiments, the cargo handling system includes a first rail defining an upward facing surface and a downward facing surface and a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction; a platform configured for rolling engagement with the first rail; and a first tug configured to propel the platform along the first rail in the longitudinal direction, the first tug comprising a power drive unit having a first drive wheel and a guide unit having a first guide wheel.

A stowable cargo guide may be configured to couple to a roller tray. The stowable cargo guide may comprise a guide block configured to rotate between a stowed position and a raised position. In the stowed position, the guide block may be located below a conveyance plane of the roller tray. The tray mounted lateral guide further includes a roller configured to be at least partially positioned in the roller slot and to facilitate conveyance of a pallet through the cargo bay. The tray mounted lateral guide further includes a lifter coupled to the main body and configured to be coupled to a tray and to maintain the main body in at least one of a lowered position or a raised position, the main body being further from the bay floor when in the raised position than when in the lowered position.
