Methods and systems for protecting a secure computing system. Aspects include connecting a pluggable security card to a motherboard of the secure computing system. Aspects also include activating a detection circuit to monitor a physical connection between the pluggable security card and the motherboard. Based on detecting that the physical connection between the pluggable security card and the motherboard has been interrupted, aspects include setting a tamper event flag, wherein the secure computing system is prevented from being operated when the tamper event flag is set.

Secure enablement of a removable security module on a logic board

An apparatus for thermal interface material detection includes a heat dissipating device stack up that includes a heat dissipating device, a thermal interface material, a heat generating component, and a printed circuit board. The heat dissipating device is disposed on the thermal interface material, the thermal interface material is disposed on the heat generating component, and the heat generating component is disposed on the printed circuit board. A channel in a body of the heat dissipating device includes an embedded conductive probe, where a first end of the embedded conductive probe leads to a lower surface of the body of the heat dissipating device and a second end of the embedded conductive probe leads to an upper surface of the body of the heat dissipating device.

Thermal interface material detection through an electrical conductivity test

A modular shipping container includes a layer of two side pieces positioned against sides of a component of several components with a same width. The side piece include pegs protruding from a top of each side piece and bottom openings in a bottom of each side piece sized and positioned to conform to the pegs. The container includes one or more end pieces on the same layer as the side pieces. Each end of the end piece is shaped to attach to an end of a side piece and is shaped to maintain a width between the side pieces. A length of an area formed by the side pieces and end pieces is sized to accommodate a maximum length of each component. The components have a height that is an integer number of standard units and a height of the side pieces matches an integral number of the standard units.

Flexible dynamic packaging of product entities

A screw starting device is provided. The screw starting device includes a body, an adjustment assembly and a screw holder. The body includes a screw holding portion and an indexing surface. The adjustment assembly is integral with the screw holding portion. The screw holder is removably attachable to the adjustment assembly. The screw holder includes an insert selected from a group of inserts respectively compatible with screws of varying types. The adjustment assembly is operable to adjust a location of the screw holder relative to the indexing surface.

A cable configuration tool includes an attachment base, a first cable retainer, a second cable retainer, and a cable guide. The intelligent load control device includes devices disposed about the object to detect characteristics thereof that are relevant to an object tipping event, a response system, and a processing unit. The response system is configured to take an action to mitigate risks associated with the object tipping event responsive to received control instructions. The processing unit is disposed to be receptive of the detected characteristics from the devices and to issue the control instructions to the response system. The processing unit is configured to dynamically analyze the detected characteristics to determine a likelihood of the object tipping event and to issue the control instructions in accordance with the determined likelihood.

Embedded dynamic stability measurement, optimization and alarm system

Adjustable pallets are provided which include a deck to support a product for shipping. The deck is selectively positionable in a raised position, as a horizontal support surface for the product, and in a lowered position, closer, at least in part, to a floor to facilitate loading the product on or unloading the product from the pallet. Further, the adjustable pallet includes a movable support, the movable support includes an inclined plane. The deck rests on the movable support in the raised position, and the deck traverses, at least in part, the inclined plane of the movable support when the deck is transitioned between the raised position and the lowered position.

A system and a method for stability measurement and optimization are provided. For example, the method includes loading an object onto a tilting device that includes one or more sensor devices, collecting resting corner weight values from the one or more sensor devices, tilting the object using the tilting device, collecting tilted corner weight values from the one or more sensor devices while tilting the object using the tilting device, calculating, using a data processor of the tilting device, a center of gravity value based on the resting corner weight values, the tilted corner weight values, and dimensions of the object, generating, using the data processor, a tipping angle based on at least the center of gravity value and the dimensions of the object, and generating, using the data processor, a recommendation to adjust the tipping angle.

The present invention provides a method for shipping products that include (a) sending requests for quotations by electronic transmission to a plurality of selected carriers based upon customer order specifications, available delivery options and a carrier quality database; (b) selecting a carrier quotation based upon quotations received by electronic transmission and the carrier quality database and updating the carrier quality database with the selected carrier and quotation; (c) preparing the product shipment including using an optical scanner to measure shipment dimensions and a weight scale to measure shipment weight of the product shipment; and (d) if the measured dimensions and weight do not conform to the selected quotation, repeating steps (b) and (c) with measured shipment dimensions and weight or, if the measured dimensions and weight do conform to the selected quotation, notifying carrier to ship the product.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for real-time multi-lingual adaptation of manufacturing instructions in a manufacturing management system. In one embodiment of the invention, a manufacturing language adaptation method can be provided. The method can include identifying an operator receiving manufacturing instruction, determining a primary language preference for the operator and determining whether or not the manufacturing instructions have been translated into the primary language preference. If it is determined that the manufacturing instructions have been translated into the primary language preference, the manufacturing instructions can be presented to the operator in the primary language preference. Otherwise the manufacturing instructions can be submitted to a translation engine for translation into the primary language preference.

Real-time multi-lingual adaptation of manufacturing instructions in a manufacturing management system

A system for performing a part inventory analysis is provided. In response to determining a current part inventory, current order demands on the current part inventory are determined. The current part inventory is segmented. An order demand coverage is determined for each segment of the segmented inventory based on the current order demands. A conditioned part inventory is determined based on a loaner part inventory analysis of the segmented inventory. A part purchase recommendation is calculated based on the conditioned part inventory. Then, data for the segmented inventory, the order demand coverage, the conditioned part inventory, and the part purchase recommendation are stored in a storage device.

Automatically adjusting inventory based on loaner parts and order demands

Automated techniques for identifying packaging solutions, where a dynamic, automated decision is made as to whether items are to be bulk packed and/or whether particular containers are to be bulk cased (that is, consolidated within casing such as pallets). Factors considered may comprise customer-specific requests, order destination, type of items, quantity of items, size of items, quantity of grouped orders, size of grouped orders, and so forth. Orders may contain items that are alike as well as items that are different from one another. A particular order or orders may be assembled as the items of the order(s) arrive for packaging, without requiring a fixed timing or sequence of item arrival, thereby providing a dynamic, real-time packaging solution.
