Aspects presented herein are directed to techniques for eliminating acquisition related artifacts in electro-physiological recording. In order to eliminate artifacts in neural response recordings, a pair of recordings is made with, respectively, inverted and non-inverted polarity at one pair of electrodes. An the average of the two recordings will eliminate the acquisition artifact without the need for an extra recording, such as a baseline.

Eliminating acquisition-related artifacts in electrophysiological recording

Techniques for locating a misplaced primary wireless device (within a spatial region. In particular, the techniques presented herein use a secondary wireless device to collect a plurality of multivariate wireless data points within the spatial region. An artificially intelligent search algorithm analyzes the plurality of multivariate wireless data points to estimate the location of the wireless device. Directional instructions that guide the user to the estimated location of the primary wireless device are generated and then provided to the user.

Locating wireless devices

A method is provided which includes receiving first signals indicative of sound in an environment of a recipient. The method further includes receiving second signals indicative of sound perception by the recipient. The method further includes, in response to the first signals and the second signals, determining whether the recipient is experiencing tinnitus. The method further includes, while the recipient is experiencing tinnitus, transmitting stimulation signals to the auditory system of the recipient.

System and method for tinnitus suppression

A method including causing current to flow from a first electrode of an intra-cochlea electrode array to a second electrode of the intra-cochlea electrode array at a plurality of temporal locations, measuring, at a third electrode and a fourth electrode of the intra-cochlea electrode array, a voltage induced by the flowing current at the plurality of temporal locations and determining that a change between the voltage measurements at the third electrode and the fourth electrode has occurred from the first temporal location to the second temporal location.

Presented herein are integrated techniques to address the perception of distracting sounds by a recipient's residual hearing during testing of a hearing prosthesis. More specifically, in accordance with embodiments presented herein, a first hearing prosthesis located at a first ear of a recipient is configured to selectively operate in a testing-assistance mode in order to support or supplement the testing of testing of the first hearing prosthesis or a second hearing prosthesis located at a second car of the recipient.

Distraction remediation at a hearing device

A method, including sequentially activating a plurality of respective electrode pairs of an implanted cochlear implant, at least one of the electrodes of the respective electrode pairs being a respective electrode of an electrode array implanted in a cochlea, thereby generating respective localized electric fields, concurrently respectively measuring, for the plurality of activated respective electrode pairs, an electrical characteristic between the respective electrodes of the respective electrode pairs resulting from the respective localized electric fields, thereby obtaining a measurement set, determining, from the measurement set, a distance between the electrode array and a wall of the cochlea.

Advanced electrode array location evaluation

An electrode array insertion tool, including an assembly configured to provide direct array insertion functionality and ancillary array insertion functionality to a user thereof. In an exemplary embodiment, the tool includes an extra-cochlea bone conduction actuator system, and the ancillary array insertion functionality is output of vibrations directly to the cochlea by the system.
