One or more controllers, responsive to an amount of power transferred from a traction battery of a vehicle to a utility grid during a planning period exceeding a predefined kWh amount that is greater than a kWh capacity of the traction battery, inhibit further transfer of power from the traction battery to the utility grid for a remainder of the planning period.

One or more controllers may, responsive to a request from a first vehicle to receive a predefined amount of charge power by a specified time, query the first vehicle regarding whether the first vehicle will accept an amount of charge power less than the predefined amount by the specified time, and command a grid and a local controller to each supply charge power to the first vehicle such that the first vehicle receives the amount of charge power less than the predefined amount by the specified time.

A vehicle including a sensor unit, an exterior light and a processor is disclosed. The sensor unit may capture inputs associated with vehicle surroundings. The processor may determine that a user may be performing an activity in proximity to the exterior light based on the inputs obtained from the sensor unit. The processor may also determine an activity type based on the inputs responsive to determining that the user is performing the activity. The processor may further determine an optimal lighting intensity for the exterior light based on the activity type. The processor may then illuminate the exterior light at the optimal lighting intensity.

The active grille shutter assembly has shutters and a lighting assembly configured to emit light that passes between the shutters. A controller may, after receiving indication that an electric utility provider will reduce power supplied during an upcoming period of time, increase a cost of charge energy for vehicles that charge at a rate at least equal to a threshold rate during the upcoming period of time. The controller may also decrease the cost of charge energy for vehicles that avoid charging or charge at a rate less than the threshold rate during the upcoming period of time.
