Certain embodiments of a medicinal applicator can comprise a base, a medicinal cream receiving port in the base, and a shaft with a shaft axis that is defined extending down the center of the shaft from the base and terminating at an applicator tip. There is at least one longitudinal outlet port located along a portion of the shaft. A medicinal cream passageway is in communication with the medicinal cream receiving port and the longitudinal outlet port via a funneled chamber. The medicinal cream passageway exits into the funneled chamber partway along the length of the longitudinal outlet port via a passageway exit port. A stop plate that extends essentially radially from the base delineates the base from the shaft.

Flow directing medicinal applicator

A rectocele device having a rectocele handle with a first static paddle removably affixed to a rectocele paddle connector at a paddle connector end. A second static paddle is configured to replace the first static paddle after the first static paddle is removed from the rectocele paddle connector. The first static paddle is configured and sized to fit within a human vagina wherein the first static paddle is only removable from the handle distal end when the first static paddle is not deployed in the human vagina. The first static paddle is shaped differently from the second static paddle. The first or second static paddle is inserted in a human vagina (by a woman using the rectocele device) wherein the first or second static paddle can be leveraged against a rectocele via the rectocele handle thereby pushing the rectocele bulge back into the colon so that the woman can evacuate a bowel more efficiently.

Optional shaped rectocele paddles

Certain embodiments of a medicinal applicator can comprise a base, a medicinal cream receiving port in the base, and a shaft extending along a conceptual shaft axis from the base and terminating at an applicator tip. There is at least one exit aperture located along a portion of the shaft. An unobstructed pathway is in communication with the receiving port and the exit aperture. A stop plate that extends essentially radially from the base delineating the base from the shaft. The shaft possesses a shaft outer shape defined by a shaped leading and trailing edge defining a narrow diameter proximal zone that extends along the shaft from the stop plate to a gradually increasing diameter transition zone that extends to a large diameter paddle zone, which terminates into a shaft distal end.

A rectocele device having an inflatable balloon and extendable armature inside of the balloon as the balloon expands provides added stability when used to push on a rectocele. More specifically, a rectocele handle can include a rectocele paddle, which can extend in length, and balloon combination extending from the handle. The paddle, generally comprised by a piston and piston housing, can increase its length by way of a piston extending in and out of the piston housing. When the rectocele paddle and balloon combination is deployed in a vagina, to push on the rectocele, the balloon is inflated which causes the piston to extend from the piston housing with the balloon inflation. The piston and piston housing paddle provide stability for the inflated balloon.

Described is an anal medicinal applicator that generally comprises a base, a medicinal cream receiving port in the base, a shaft and at least one longitudinal slot. The longitudinal slot extending along an axis from the base and terminating at a distal end. The at least one longitudinal slot extending along a portion of the shaft, the receiving port, the shaft and the at least one longitudinal slot defining an unobstructed pathway. The longitudinal slot defined by a leading slot edge, a trailing slot edge, a proximal slot edge, and a distal slot edge, the leading slot edge and the trailing slot edge are longer than the proximal slot edge and the distal slot edge. A lip protrudes from the shaft along at least a portion of the leading slot edge it is configured and arranged to cause a tenting effect of the inner intestinal wall when the anal medicinal applicator is deployed in an anus.

Described is a phacoemulsification device for eye surgery that generally comprises an ultrasonically vibrating aspiration needle that withdraws ocular material from inside of the eye. The ocular material withdrawn from the eye is equally replaced with irrigation fluid provided through irrigation ports in an irrigation sleeve surrounding the aspiration needle. In the event the aspiration needle stops withdrawing ocular material, such as if it becomes occluded with a chunk of ocular material, irrigation fluid is directed to the outside of the eye via at least one irrigation aperture to keep the eye cool where the needle is ultrasonically vibrating.

Applicator for dispensing a medicinal substance and methods associated therewith

A surgical instrument and method, for example to accomplish phacoemulsification, are disclosed. The surgical instrument includes a handpiece that includes a piezoelectric transducer. A hollow titanium needle having a substantially cylindrical portion and a free distal tip is attached to the handpiece by way of a threaded supported end structure. The piezoelectric transducer is driven by a circuit to periodically expand and contract at a high-ultrasound frequency that rings the hollow titanium needle with a high-ultrasonic frequency standing wave having a node of minimum amplitude residing in the substantially cylindrical portion between the supported end structure and the free distal tip, and to periodically expand and contract at an ultrasound frequency that rings the hollow titanium needle with an ultrasonic frequency standing wave, the circuit adapted to between the high-ultrasonic frequency and the ultrasonic frequency.

Phacoemulsification ultrasonic device switching between different operational modes

A recto-cystocele device to address rectocele and cystocele disorder is described. The device generally comprise a handle and a paddle that are distinguished from one another by a bend in the recto-cystocele device which forms essentially an L-shaped unit, the bend possessing a sufficient radius to avoid contact with a pelvic region of the woman and the recto-cystocele device. The device further comprises an expandable sheath located on the paddle that after being inserted in a vagina of the woman and is expanded therein is in contact with at least an upper portion of the vagina that includes a posterior fornix of the vagina and a lower portion of the vagina that does not include the posterior fornix. The handle, which does not go into the vagina, is adapted to be manually manipulated by the woman to translate directional pressure against the posterior fornix and the lower portion of the vagina via the expandable sheath when expanded.

A stool evacuate assist device to address rectocele disorder is described. The device generally comprises a handle and a paddle wherein the handle and the paddle are delineated by a bend in the device. The stool evacuation device further has an expandable sheath located on the paddle that after being inserted in a vagina of a woman and after being expanded in the vagina, the expandable sheath is in contact with a rectovaginal wall of the vagina. The handle is adapted to translate directional pressure on the rectovaginal wall via the expandable sheath when manipulated by the woman. The bend between the handle and the paddle essentially remains outside of the vagina when the expandable sheath is expanded in the vagina.
