The disclosed technology is directed towards efficiently identifying a first entity (e.g., a user or sensor) as a potential witness to an event. A first dataset describing event time data and event location data of an event are obtained from a first device. A second dataset describing device time data and device location data are obtained via a device associated with a second entity, e.g., a user. By analyzing the first and second datasets, e.g., for time and location intersection, the second entity can be identified as a potential witness to the event, and notified of such. Factors such as line of sight, speed and direction, audio sensing range versus event volume, and the like of the second entity can be used in determining whether the second entity is a likely witness. A witness to a live event can be identified and asked to send in live (e.g., video) evidence.

Automated event witness identification

The disclosed technology is directed towards providing guidance, e.g., point-to-point audio guidance, along an evacuation route. The presence of occupant(s) within a structure/area is monitored. If an evacuation event occurs, an evacuation route is determined for each occupant based on their current monitored starting location. Guidance is output, e.g., by various output devices along the evacuation route, which can be the safety monitors that monitor occupant presence, to guide each occupant from point-to-point along the evacuation route. For example, one monitor can be configured to hand off guidance responsibility to a next monitor along the evacuation route. The guidance can be customized for each known occupant based on their recognized features, or can be directed generally to an unknown occupant. Status information of the occupants can be provided to other occupants and to a responding entity. A responding entity can also be given directional guidance.

Monitored audio-based evacuation routes

The disclosed technology is directed towards generating an annotated visual playback of an incident. Upon obtaining notification of an incident, event data occurring in the incident zone and timeframe are obtained (e.g., collected) from sensors proximate the zone. The event data is used to annotate a visual playback captured by one or more cameras, e.g., within a timeframe ranging from some time before the incident occurred to the end of the incident. For example, a video can be presented with overlaid annotation data, each annotation describing an event as it occurred in time, in conjunction with an advancing timestamp overlay showing the time of the video frames. A simulated video, e.g., extended reality video, can also be generated, along with annotations and timeframe data, such as if captured from camera(s) from one or more various different perspectives.

Annotated incident recreation

The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting communications data to a responding entity that are relevant to an emergency situation at an emergency location. The communications data can be obtained from communications (e.g., text messages, transmitted video, voice calls and the like) that involve at least one user device at the situation, including communications that do not involve the responding entity. Users may opt in to such an emergency service to allow access to their communications, whereby their device locations are tracked and known in the event of an emergency. Upon obtaining the communications data, a responder can receive a view of the scene augmented with the communications data. The view can include a three-dimensional and/or two-dimensional representation of the zone/area of the emergency situation. Filtering can be used to eliminate irrelevant communications, and summarization can be used to combine generally redundant communications.

Emergency ad hoc device communication monitoring

The disclosed technology is directed towards associating a rescue tag with a victim in need of rescue, in which the rescue tag collects condition (biological state) data associated with the victim and provides a location of the rescue tag. The location data is maintained in association with the condition data. A responder makes a request to output the condition data, and in response, the responder's device is presented with an augmented reality display that shows the victim condition data relative to the location data. Multiple victims can be efficiently triaged, with more urgent victims highlighted via augmented reality for more urgent treatment. Filtering as requested by a responder can present augmented reality display for only a subset of the victims. Also described is the use of an aerial vehicle to assist the responders and/or a command center; the aerial vehicle can act as an edge node for efficient communication.

Augmented reality rescue tagging

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device comprising: a female port configured to receive a data connector, the data connector comprising a surface with a first opening; a first movable member disposed within the female port, the first movable member being configured such that as the data connector is moved into the female port a first portion of the first movable member enters into the first opening; and a first blocking member disposed within the female port, the first blocking member being configured to move to a first blocking position to block the first portion of the first movable member from exiting the first opening after the first portion of the first movable member has entered the first opening. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Securable computer data cables and ports

This disclosure describes a solution to enable more useful and responsive methods for a person's wishes for resuscitation actions to be canceled or discontinued in the event of a medical event. In this solution, a person can record their do not resuscitate (DNR) wishes with more specificity. For instance, they can specify conditions for treatment or non-treatment in the event of a medical emergency that would otherwise call for live-saving procedures or the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) device. Conditional DNR data can be recorded in an electronic device (e.g., emergency pendant or smart watch, or in an electronic device) implanted within or on the person's body. This data can also be stored in a database accessible via a network.

Facilitation of conditional do not resuscitate orders

Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to pictograms as digitally recognizable tangible controls. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a user system can include a processing component and a memory component. The memory component can include instructions of a pictogram digitization module. The user system can capture, via a camera component, an image containing a pictogram that is a digitally recognizable tangible manifestation of a digital control. The user system can determine, via the pictogram digitization module, the digital control associated with the pictogram. The user system can implement, via the pictogram digitization module, the digital control. The digital control can include a digital content, an action, or a context. The user system can create, via the pictogram digitization module, a digital interface that includes the digital control. In some embodiments, the pictogram includes a formal pictogram. In other embodiments, the pictogram includes an informal pictogram.

Pictograms as digitally recognizable tangible controls

This disclosure describes a solution to identify that a meaningful event has occurred in a person's life. Once identified, data and content related to the event can be collected and stored in a database. This data and content can be used to offer future virtual reality (VR) experiences and content. A person can be equipped with a smart device such as a smartphone, smart watch, or other wearable that can further be equipped with a tracking app that collects data from these devices and from other sources, for instance, over the internet. The tracking app can continuously collect such data and use various algorithms to make a determination as to whether the person is experiencing a meaningful life event.

Identification of life events for virtual reality data and content collection

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example determining that a first connection between a first device and a wireless access point is not functional, wherein a non-functional connection between the first device and a backhaul network causes the first connection between the first device and the wireless access point to become not functional. Information is received from a second device via a second connection, wherein the second connection includes a wireless connection via a dedicated channel of a radio access network of the second connection. The dedicated channel will not be released while providing service via the second connection, the information being provided to the first device via a wireless channel. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Systems and methods for establishing network connections

A system can be operable to receive a call from a communication device and identify whether the call is a spoofed based on, for example, whether a caller party user equipment associated with a caller identification number (caller ID number) is in an 'idle' status, whether there are inconsistencies in the geographic location associated with a calling party's network and the geographic location determined to be associated with the caller ID number presented, and whether the phone number presented as the caller ID number is registered with a calling party's network.

Detecting a spoofed call

In one embodiment, a method includes identifying, by a network access point, a plurality of channels within a spectrum block and determining, by the network access point, to allocate at least one channel of the plurality of channels to a device based on requirements of the device. The method further includes allocating, by the network access point, the at least one channel to the device. The at least one channel is exclusively for use between the network access point and the device.

Channel allocation

This disclosure describes a solution to assign values to personal objects. These values can be calculated based on a number of criteria and stored for the objects. Future values can also be projected. Types of value can include monetary, sentimental, and donation value. Personal objects, such as objects within the inventory of a house, apartment, or other dwelling, can be tagged using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or other tag that has at least a memory store, an antenna for communication within a near-field range, and optionally, a power supply, such as a battery. Such a tag can be applied to, or otherwise associated with, a personal object, such as a chair, a piece of artwork, or any other tangible object. The memory can be used to contain data associated with the object, which can be accessed via an RFID reader, which can be used to collect objects into an object inventory.
