Systems and methods for covering a trough member. A cover system can include a static portion coupled to a side wall of the trough member and defining a pocket. A sliding portion is selectively received in the pocket and is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. Opposite side walls of the trough member each include a static portion, and a sliding portion which telescopes to provide access to an interior of the trough member.

A device for measuring a force exerted by a ferrule of a fiber optic connector includes a base including an adapter mount configured to accept one of a plurality of adapter assemblies, and a stage coupled to the base, the stage moving longitudinally with respect to the base. The device also includes a force gauge coupled to the stage, and an adapter assembly configured to be coupled to the adapter mount of the base, the adapter assembly defining an adapter configured to receive the fiber optic connector. The fiber optic connector is connected to the adapter assembly, and the force gauge measures the force exerted by the ferrule of the fiber optic connector. Systems and methods for measuring the force exerted by the ferrule of a fiber optic connector are also included.

A jack module sized to occupy only a portion of a telecommunications chassis. The jack module includes a front jack mount, a plurality of jacks and a rear connector mount. The rear connector mount supports a plurality of connectors. The connectors include housings defining ports for receiving plugs. In certain embodiments, the connectors can include RJ-45 connectors.
