A sensor system assembly for a grille of a motor vehicle includes a camera, a cover assembly, and a radar unit covered by the cover assembly. The cover assembly includes a first thermoplastic layer having an outer edge and an inner edge defining a first opening for receiving the camera, a second thermoplastic layer having an outer edge and an inner edge defining a second opening for receiving the camera, the second opening being aligned with the first opening, the outer edge of the second thermoplastic layer being interlocked with outer edge of the first thermoplastic layer, and the inner edge of the second thermoplastic layer being interlocked with the inner edge of the first thermoplastic layer, and an emblem between the first thermoplastic layer and the second thermoplastic layer.

An airflow directing assembly and associated method of assembling same, includes an air deflector having a first portion mounted in the vehicle engine compartment rearwardly of the bumper beam and including a separating wall that extends between and segregates a first, upper air flow path from a second, lower air flow path. The airflow directing assembly includes a second, flexible seal portion extending from the air deflector first portion in a direction toward the bumper beam. The flexible seal portion is configured for sliding, sealing engagement with a surface of a vehicle engine compartment component such as the bumper beam to accommodate build variation during vehicle assembly.

An air guide assembly for a vehicle includes an air guide depending from an underside of the vehicle and an air guide extension contiguously disposed at one lateral end of the air guide. The air guide extension includes a tab received through a tab aperture defined in the air guide. The tab includes a tab feature facilitating sliding movement of the tab relative to the tab aperture due to an external force being applied to one of the air guide and the air guide extension.

A front end structure for a vehicle includes a fascia member defining a forward end of an engine compartment of the vehicle and a radiator disposed in the engine compartment rearwardly spaced from the fascia member. At least one structural brace extends from a location at or near an underside of the vehicle to a location at or near an upper end of the engine compartment. A duct member is interposed between the fascia member and the radiator. The duct member at least partially blocks the radiator and defines a duct passage extending from an underside opening of the vehicle to the radiator. The duct member has at least one recess defined therein that receives the at least one structural brace.

A front end structure for a vehicle includes a facia member defining a forward end of an engine compartment of the vehicle and a radiator disposed in the engine compartment rearwardly spaced from the facia member. A duct member is interposed between the facia member and the radiator. The duct member at least partially blocks the radiator and defines a duct passage extending from an underside opening of the vehicle to the radiator. At least one duct opening is defined in the duct member for supplementing air flow to the radiator from the underside opening.
