A surgical imaging system includes at least one camera apparatus having a camera body including an image sensor configured to capture image data in a field of view. A scope extends along a longitudinal axis from the camera body. A camera orientation sensor is in connection with the camera apparatus. The camera orientation sensor detects a camera orientation of the camera apparatus. A scope orientation sensor detects a scope orientation of the scope relative to the camera body. A controller monitors the camera orientation and the scope orientation. In response to a change in the scope orientation relative to the camera orientation, the controller updates a rotation of the field of view of the image data.

Camera apparatus for coordinated operation with surgical tools

A surgical cutting tool with a body having a proximal end and a distal end; a cannula rotatably extending from the distal end of the body, the cannula having a proximal end and a distal end; a cutting head removably coupled to the distal end of the cannula, the cutting head having a distal tip and a cutting window; a hollow shaft movably positioned inside the cannula, the hollow shaft having a blade; a suction connector in fluid communication with the hollow shaft, the suction connector being configured for connection to a suction source; a suction control configured to alter suction from the suction connector to the hollow shaft; and an actuator coupled to the hollow shaft for moving the blade of the hollow shaft relative to the cutting window of the cutting head.

Surgical cutting tool

This disclosure relates to instruments and methods of performing an endoscopy. An endoscope for producing images of a surgery in vivo may include a hub and an imaging rod extending from the hub, the imaging rod being configured to direct the light to an imaging sensor located adjacent to a distal end of the imaging rod, the hub and the imaging rod being attached to form an assembly having a center of mass established distally of the hub. In other implementations, the hub may be omitted.

Endoscopic instrument

Surgical sheath system

A handheld medical device with a distal implement is disclosed. The handheld rotary medical device may include an inner drive shaft, an elongated, tubular, outer housing encapsulating the inner drive shaft such that the inner drive shaft is positioned within the outer housing. The inner drive shaft may include one or more inner drive shaft bendable sections, and the outer housing may include one or more outer housing bendable sections. The inner drive shaft bendable section may be heated to anneal the material forming the inner drive shaft bendable section such that during use the inner drive shaft bendable section may be bent into a desired position and, once bent, the inner drive shaft bendable section remains in the desired position and does not bind against the elongated, tubular, outer housing.
