The container may hold a material, such as, plastic wrap. The first container portion may include a first leg with an engagement member. The engagement member may engage the second leg during the cutting process. In addition, the engagement member may disengage from the second leg during or after the cutting process. When the user wishes to cut the material, the user pushes down on the first container portion. The material is held between the engagement member and the second leg at a first location. The third leg may assist in holding the material at a second location. The holding of the material in tension may facilitate the cutting of the material. As the user continues to push down on the first container portion, the engagement member disengages from the second leg. The user can remove the portion of material without opening the first container portion.

Dispenser for material

A plastic bag with flexible sidewalls defining an interior volume for holding contents includes a reinforcing feature to resist puncture and/or rupture of the bag. The reinforcing feature may include reinforcing the portion of the bag proximate the bottom edge with additional or thicker thermoplastic material. In various embodiments, the reinforcing feature may be a multilayer strip of plastic material attached along a bottom edge of the bag, either internally or externally, to provide additional material resistant to puncture. The reinforcing feature may be adhesively bonded, heat bonded, or cold bonded to the bag sidewalls. In other embodiments, the sheet material used to produce the bag may be made with varying thicknesses. In addition, methods of manufacturing a bag with such reinforcing features in a high speed automated process are disclosed.

Bag with reinforcing features

The bag may include a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a first fastening strip and a second fastening strip. The fastening strips may include a base portion having a pair of spaced-apart webs extending from the base portion. The webs may include hook portions extending from the webs. The fastening strips may have wide base portions. The fastening strips may have thick base portions. The fastening strips may provide a greater surface area for the user to apply a force during the occlusion process and may reduce the occlusion effort. The fastening strips may have a lower occlusion force. The fastening strips may provide improved alignment of the fastening strips. The fastening strips may have an improved perception of seal security with a high opening force and/or a high peel force.

A containerincludes a coverand a base. The container coverincludes a first closure portion, an engagement portion, and an alignment portion. The baseincludes a second closure portion. The first closure portion of the coveris sealingly engageable with the second closure portion of the baseto define a sealed storage area. The coversstack together in two different ways. First, the coverscan be stacked into an 'aligned' stack. Second, the coverscan be stacked into a releasably locked stack. The alignment portion of the coveris engageable with the alignment portion of a second coverto form an aligned cover stack. The engagement portionof the coverincludes one or more engagement lugsthat are engageable with corresponding engagement lugsof the engagement portionof a second coverto form a releasably locked cover stack. The engagement portionof the coverfurther includes one or more drainage channelsthat provide a passageway for liquid entrapped between locked covers to quickly drain or evaporate.

System of releasably interlocking container covers

The container can be locked into a stack of containers. A container cover locks onto the top of a container base to define a sealed area for storage. Additionally, the bottom of a second container base can be locked onto the top of the cover of a first container. In this fashion, when closed containers are stacked, they form a locked stack that is more structurally rigid and therefore less precarious than a traditional, non-locked container stack. When not in use, the bases can be formed into a nested stack, and their covers can be locked together to form a locked cover stack. The locked cover stack can be locked to either the top or bottom of the nested base stack to form a rigid stack. In some embodiments, a cover can be turned upside down and its bottom face locked onto the bottom face of a base.
