Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified inspection and maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a COcartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the COcartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

Apparatus and related methods for adding increased functionality to a food dehydrator through the use of stackable drying trays that define a circulation plenum during operation and then nest within one another during disassembly so as to reduce an overall storage size of the food dehydrator. The food dehydrator can further include a base portion having a removable splash guard to prevent the introduction of liquids or solids into a mechanical space within the base portion.

A countertop appliance and related methods of fabrication using a floating mounting assembly to connect a cooking surface to a mounting frame. The floating mounting assembly allows the cooking surface to expand and contract in response to changing temperature without translating these dimensional changes to the mounting frame and negatively impacting the integrity or appearance of the countertop appliance. The floating mounting assembly can include a grommet assembly that connects to elongated apertures defined in the mounting frame. As the cooking surface expands and contracts, the grommet assembly can slide within the elongated aperture. Through the use of the elongated aperture, dimensional changes in the cooking surface are not directly translated to the mounting frame.

A popcorn popper having a heat source transferring heat to a heating surface and also having a reflective surface for focusing the heat radiated by the heat source toward the heating surface. The popcorn popper can include a mechanical stirrer on the heating surface for shifting the kernels during heating and evenly distributing the kernels across the heating surface. The popcorn popper can have a cover with an integrated reservoir for holding toppings for the popcorn, wherein the reservoir is adapted to drain the topping through the cover without fouling the cover air vents and evenly distribute the topping onto the kernels.
