A stabilization system for an adjustable ride height military vehicle includes a support member fixedly coupled with an underside of the military vehicle and extending in a downwards direction from the underside of the military vehicle. The support member is configured to engage a ground surface directly below the military vehicle when the military vehicle lowers from a first position to a second position. The support member is configured to provide additional stability for the military vehicle during a ballistics operation through the engagement between the support member and the ground surface when the military vehicle is lowered to the second position.

Stabilization system for a vehicle

A suspension system for a vehicle having a frame includes a first interface member configured to be positioned on a first lateral side of the frame and a second interface member configured to be positioned on an opposing second lateral side of the frame. The first interface member and the second interface member are positioned along a common central axis. The suspension system also includes a first swing arm coupled to the first interface member and configured to rotate about the common central axis, a second swing arm coupled to the second interface member and configured to rotate about the common central axis, and a sway bar coupled to the first interface member and the second interface member. The sway bar is positioned coaxially with the common central axis and extends between the first swing arm and the second swing arm.

Co-axial sway bar for a suspension system

A suspension system for a heavy duty truck or trailer is disclosed as having a frame and including a first swing arm having a first elongated portion and a first mounting member having a central axis and coupled to the first elongated portion. The suspension assembly also includes a second swing arm including a second elongated portion and a second mounting member having a central axis and coupled to the second elongated portion. The second mounting member is coaxially aligned with the first mounting member to define an axis of rotation for the first swing arm and the second swing arm. The suspension assembly finally includes a connector coupled to at least one of the first mounting member and the second mounting member and a sway bar having a central axis, wherein the sway bar is coupled to the first swing arm and the second swing arm and positioned such that the central axis of the sway bar is coaxially aligned with the axis of rotation for the first swing arm and the second swing arm.

The mechanical system is mounted on the chassis and configured to be moved through a range of positions responsive to operator inputs from a human operator. The control system processing logic configured to generate output signals for the output devices based on input signals from the directional controller to thereby control movement of the boom assembly in accordance with the operator inputs. The communication system is configured to communicate signals, including the input signals and the output signals, between the directional controller, the processing logic, and the output devices, the communication system at least partially comprising a radio-frequency transmission medium.

Control system and method for an equipment service vehicle

A turret is configured to be rotationally coupled to a vehicle which includes a first apparatus that is immovably coupled to the vehicle. The turret comprises a second apparatus coupled to the turret. The second apparatus is configured to be rotationally coupled to the first apparatus. The turret further comprises a turret controller which uses feedback control to control rotation of the turret relative to the vehicle. The turret further comprises a position sensor coupled to the second apparatus. The position sensor being configured to provide information related to the position of the turret to the turret controller. The turret is configured to engage the first apparatus to rotate the turret relative to the vehicle.

Turret positioning system and method for a vehicle

A vehicle frame assembly includes first and second generally parallel chassis rails. At least one of the first and second chassis rails has a first portion defining an internal cavity and at least a second portion defining an enclosed passageway extending along the first portion and within the internal cavity. The turret controller is configured to use feedback control to control the movement of the turret from a first position where the turret is positioned at a first angle of rotation at the base to a second position where the turret is positioned at a second angle of rotation at the base, where the first and second angles are different.

Turret positioning system and method for a fire fighting vehicle

A fluid dispensing arrangement and skid pan for use with a fire fighting vehicle, with the vehicle defining an under-vehicle volume. The fluid dispensing arrangement comprises a fluid source, a nozzle support coupled to the vehicle and movable within at least a part of the under-vehicle volume. A nozzle assembly is supported by the nozzle support and is in fluid communication with a fluid source. An actuator is coupled to the nozzle support to move the nozzle support within at least a part of the under-vehicle volume.
