A bone displacement system includes an anchoring portion, a tool engaging portion, a compression distraction mechanism, a lateral body and a distal body. The anchoring portion has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the anchoring portion to a proximal bone. The tool engaging portion is connected to the anchoring portion and is configured to connect a tool thereto. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the anchoring portion. The lateral body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism by a ratchet. The lateral body has a downwardly depending portion for contacting a lateral bone. The distal body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism. The distal body has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the distal body to a distal bone. The compression-distraction mechanism is configured to move the anchoring portion relative to the distal body.

A bone cut guide includes a first portion having a first cut slot and having an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the first portion to a first bone. A second portion has a second cut slot and a second aperture for receiving a second wire to connect the second portion to a second bone. The first portion and the second portion are movably connected to each other to allow the first bone and the second bone to move relative to each other.

A fracture fixation system includes a plate having a laterally extending bore passing therethrough and configured to receive a first wire when the plate is placed in contact with a bone. The plate has a recess for receiving and securing a first end of a first wire, and includes an entry hole and an exit hole to at opposite ends of a first bore to allow the first wire to pass through the plate. A screw is configured to capture said the wire in the first bore to maintain a desired tension on the first wire.

Fracture fixation system and method

A bone displacement system includes a removable guide and frame. The removable guide includes a proximal anchoring portion and a distal anchoring portion. The proximal anchoring portion has a proximal anchoring aperture for receiving a first wire to connect the guide to a proximal bone. The distal anchoring portion has a distal anchoring aperture for receiving a second wire to connect the guide to a distal bone. The guide includes a slot configured to receive a tool. The frame includes a compression-distraction mechanism and a rotation mechanism. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the rotation mechanism and engageable with the proximal bone. The rotation mechanism includes a distal aperture for receiving the second wire to connect the rotation mechanism to the distal bone, and the compression-distraction mechanism is configured to move the rotation mechanism and the distal bone relative to the proximal bone. Further disclosed is a bone displacement method.

Devices and methods for cutting, aligning, and joining bones

A bone displacement system includes an anchoring portion, a tool engaging portion, a compression distraction mechanism, a lateral body and a distal body. The anchoring portion has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the anchoring portion to a proximal bone. The anchoring portion is connectable to a downwardly depending member for holding a tissue portion. The tool engaging portion is connected to the anchoring portion and is configured to connect a tool thereto. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the anchoring portion. The lateral body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism and engageable with a lateral bone. The distal body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism. The distal body has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the distal body to a distal bone. The compression-distraction mechanism is configured to move the anchoring portion relative to the distal body.

A bone coupling device is configured for joining a first bone piece to a second bone piece which includes a first component having an inner surface bounding a first cavity and a first stem portion for insertion into the first bone piece. A second component includes a second stem portion for insertion into the second bone piece and an axially extending connector extending from the second stem portion and configured to be inserted into the first cavity. The connector has an outer surface which is complementarily shaped relative to an inner surface to inhibit rotation relative to each other when the connector is received in the cavity to engage the first component and the second component.

Bone coupling device and method

An implant having a joint facing surface and a bone facing surface forming a body member and a dorsal member therebetween. The implant further having a ring member extending out from the bone facing surface to a free end disposed for insertion into a bone recess. The body member and the dorsal member include a concave curvature on the bone facing surface and a convex curvature on the joint facing surface.

A bone cut guide includes a stem having a stem longitudinal axis and an anchoring portion proximal to the stem and connected to the stem by a cut body. The anchoring portion includes an anchoring opening configured to receive a wire therethrough to connect the anchoring portion to a bone. The cut body includes a cut slot configured to receive a saw to cut the bone.
