A glenosphere handling tool, which can be an inserter, is provided that includes an elongate body and a retention portion. The retention portion is disposed at a distal end of the elongate body. The retention portion includes a plurality of wall segments of the elongate body separated from each other by one or more slots. The slot(s) extends proximally from the distal end of the elongate body. The retention portion also includes an enlarged periphery at the distal end of the elongate body. The enlarged periphery comprising a proximally facing edge configured to engage an inner wall surface of a glenosphere. The retention portion is configured such that when the retention portion is in a free state the proximally facing edge faces and may contact a surface of a glenosphere to retain the glenosphere. The retention portion is configured to be deflected at the distal end of the elongate body such that the enlarged periphery has a reduced profile for separating the handling tool from a glenosphere.

Glenoid implant components and instruments therefor

A radial head assembly is provided that includes a collar, an articular member, an articular head component, and stem that is configured to engage the articular head component. The articular member at least partially defines an articular space within the collar when disposed in the collar.

Elbow joint prostheses

A radial head assembly is provided that includes a stem, a collar, a locking ring, and an articular member. The stem has a convex articular head on one end thereof. The locking ring has a ring wall, which has a ring opening. The ring wall has an angular outer surface and a slot configured to permit the ring wall to radially expand. The angular outer surface engages an angular portion of an interior surface of the collar. The articular member and the locking ring define an articular space within the collar. The articular space is configured to receive the convex articular head.

Various apparatus and methods for implanting glenoid prostheses are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method for performing shoulder surgery can include guiding a guide pin into the glenoid surface along a reaming axis. A partial reaming guide can be placed in contact with the glenoid surface over the guide pin. A reamer can be guided over the guide pin to ream the glenoid surface. The reamer can be further advanced over the guide pin until the reamer contacts the partial reaming guide, whereby such contact limits reaming to only a portion of the glenoid surface.

Apparatuses and methods for implanting glenoid prostheses

A suture anchor according to embodiments of the invention includes a body () having a proximal () and distal () ends and at least two suture paths open towards the proximal end and not open (e.g. looped around) towards the distal end and which are respectively capable of receiving a suture, and a proximal cavity () opening into a transverse cavity (). The anchor may also include a transverse wall () arranged at least partially in the transverse cavity (), and for each suture path, a distinct eyelet () for the passage of a suture through the transverse wall (), so that a suture thread () in place in the anchor () forms a U with a first strand () along the longitudinal axis (X-X), a second strand () substantially parallel thereto, and an arc () formed in the eyelet () and connecting the first and second strands.
