A system for detecting patterns on objects having reflective or high visibility colored material thereon. The system includes a lighting unit that includes a main housing having a front opening and a cavity, a first visual lighting assembly positioned within the cavity of the main housing that emits light in the visible spectrum, and a second ultraviolet lighting assembly positioned a fixed distance from the first visual lighting assembly within the cavity of the main housing that emits light in the ultraviolet spectrum, a camera having a field of view within which the system is configured to detect patterns of reflective or high visibility colored material on one or more objects, a warning device to alert the operator when a marked object enters the camera's field of view. A controller/processor is programmed to detect when a pattern of reflective or high visibility colored material enters the camera's field of view. A variety of patterns can be used, and the controller can be programmed to associated each pattern with a specific object.

System for detecting the presence of an object to be protected in a low-light environment

A case is formed of a side wall with a front and rear end having a base. A projectile is formed of a side wall with a front end having a shaped section and a rear end with a base. The projectile is positioned within the case with the rear end of the projectile spaced from the rear end of the case to form a rearward chamber. A firing assembly includes a charge within the rearward chamber and a firing means. An illumining assembly is positioned within the projectile and includes a source of illumination. An electrical assembly includes a printed circuit board, a sensor, a timer, a battery, a controller, and a receiver to illuminate the sources of illumination following igniting the charge to activate the sensor and passage of time as determined by the timer.

Illumining projectile system

An inner collar is co-axially aligned with a longitudinal axis of an outer collar. The outer and inner collars are and separated by a gap. A plurality of ribs disposed within the gap and interconnect the inner collar to the outer collar. The inner collar defining an interior passage. A channel disposed within the outer collar and the inner collar. The channel extending along the longitudinal axis and opening at one side into the passage and opening at an opposite side exteriorly of the outer collar. The outer collar, inner collar, and plurality of ribs are constructed of a resiliently deformable material thereby allowing the outer and inner collars to resiliently deform for removably receiving a tubular container grip and allowing the outer collar and the plurality of ribs to resiliently deform for increasing gripping capabilities of a human hand.

Auxiliary gripping member

A housing is formed with an opening for the receipt of a cosmetic pencil to be sharpened. A shaping funnel within the housing is formed of a plurality blades in operative proximity around the opening. A motor rotates the shaping funnel and the plurality of blades for sharpening the cosmetic pencil within the shaping funnel.

Portable motorized cosmetic sharpener system

A lighting unit for use in low lighting environments such as underground mines is provided. The lighting unit includes a main housing having a front opening and a cavity, a first visual lighting assembly positioned within the cavity of the main housing that emits light in the visible spectrum, and a second ultraviolet lighting assembly positioned a fixed distance from the first visual lighting assembly within the cavity of the main housing that emits light in the ultraviolet spectrum. The lighting unit is part of a system for detecting patterns on objects having reflective or high visibility colored material thereon. In addition to the lighting unit, the system includes a camera having a field of view within which the system is configured to detect patterns of reflective or high visibility colored material on one or more objects, a warning device to alert the operator when a marked object enters the camera's field of view. A controller/processor is programmed to detect when a pattern of reflective or high visibility colored material enters the camera's field of view. A variety of patterns can be used, and the controller can be programmed to associated each pattern with a specific object.

Light for underground mining and system for tracking underground assets

A handle shaft has an upper end and a lower end. A cylindrical collar extends upwardly from the upper end of the handle shaft. The cylindrical collar has an open top. A brush head is formed of a plurality of elongated bristle fibers. The bristle fibers have lower ends secured in the open top of the cylindrical collar. The bristle fibers have free upper ends and a middle section. A ferrule assembly is axially reciprocable upon the cylindrical collar between a cleaning lower position and a raised position for cosmetic product application. The ferrule assembly is in sliding contact with the cylindrical collar. The ferrule assembly has a lower end and an upper end. The upper end is of a reduced circumference for sliding contact with the bristle fibers.

Adjustable cosmetic brush system

A container has a bottom panel, left and right side panels, front and rear panels, and an open top to facilitate the removable receipt of individual objects. A lower support tray is positionable upon a recipient surface. The tray has a front edge, a rear edge, and laterally spaced side edges. An intermediate chamber has a front, a back, lateral sides, a top and a bottom. Wires have interior ends within the chamber. Each wire has an exterior end in proximity to the tray for charging electronic devices.

Universal cell charging station system

A system and method for detecting a position of a person or second machine relative to a machine is provided. The system includes a transmitter system located on the machine, a locator for being carried by the person, means for determining the position of said locator relative to the transmitter system, means for defining one or more safety zones around the machine; and warning means for generating a signal when said locator enters into any of said one or more safety zones. The transmitter system includes a controller for generating a uniquely encoded magnetic signal and a plurality of drivers in communication with the controller for transmitting the uniquely encoded magnetic signal. According to the method a uniquely encoded magnetic signal is generated and transmitted around the machine from a transmitter system located on the machine. The magnetic signal is received and processed at a locator carried by the person. A locator radio frequency signal is transmitted from the locator in response to the received and processed magnetic signal. The locator radio frequency signal is received at the transmitter system. An algorithm is performed at the transmitter system based on the magnetic signal and locator radio frequency signal to determine the position of the locator relative to the transmitter system.

System and method for position detection

A water diverter assembly is positionable in a skimmer chamber between a well and a pool. A bar has opposed ends removably received in and supported by the chamber. First and a second similarly configured plates have interior ends with first radii of curvature adjacent to the well and exterior ends with second radii of curvature greater than the first radii of curvature adjacent to the pool. Regions join the bar and the plates. The plates are closest together at the interface of the interior and exterior ends. The plates increase their separation at the interface during operation and use in response to the flow of water between the plates.

Pool skimmer enhancement system

A pool has an opening formed with upper and lower surfaces and first and second side surfaces. A chamber located interiorly of the opening has a cylindrical well with a vertical axis. A first diverter plate has an exterior edge adjacent to the first side surface and an interior edge between the opening and the well. The first diverter plate is arcuate with a vertical axis of rotation adjacent to the first side surface. A second diverter plate has primary and secondary sections. The primary section has an exterior edge adjacent to the second side surface and an interior edge between the opening and the well and is arcuate with a vertical axis of rotation adjacent to the second side surface. The secondary section is located adjacent the primary section with a vertical axis of rotation essentially co-extensive with the axis of the well.

Built in pool skimmer enhancement system

A face plate has a passageway positionable in a skimmer opening of a pool. An arcuate short diverter plate is coupled to a side edge of the face plate. An arcuate long diverter plate in a generally S-shaped configuration is coupled to a side edge of the face plate spaced from the short diverter plate. The diverter plates have closely spaced regions for forming a restricted flow path for water to be skimmed to increase water speed and skimming effectiveness. The long diverter plate has an arcuate region with a vertical axis of rotation co-extensive with an axis of a pool well.
