Fluid connector assemblies with fluid connectors connected via a detachable ring are disclosed. A fluid connector assembly may include a pair of fluid connectors and a ring that couples the pair of connectors. The ring may be configured to detach from either connector upon experiencing a separating force that exceeds a predetermined threshold force. The detachment of the ring may decouple the pair of fluid connectors. When the pair of fluid connectors are connected, fluid may flow between them. When the pair of fluid connectors are disconnected, fluid may not flow.

Slit-free safe disconnect

A syringe adapter includes a female connector, a body in fluid communication with the female connector, a male connector in fluid communication with the female connector and the body, a passage extending radially through the body and a cannula extending axially through the body and out through the female connector, a first end of the cannula fluidly coupled to an end of the passage disposed within the body. A filter housing containing a filter is fluidly coupled to an end of the passage that is exterior to the body, the filter housing terminating in a vent that is fluidly coupled to the passage. A first fluid path is formed through the cannula, the passage and the vent, and a second fluid path is formed through the female connector, the body, and the male connector, wherein a closed system is provided when the male connector is uncoupled from the medical device.

Syringe adapter

A fluid-fitting tool is disclosed that can align with and rotationally couple with a fluid fitting where the fluid-fitting tool can include a passage and an engagement feature for engaging against the fluid fitting such that when the fluid-fitting tool is spaced apart from the fluid fitting, the fluid-fitting tool can move in a longitudinal direction toward and away from the fluid fitting, and can rotate relative to the fluid fitting around a longitudinal axis of the passage, and when a portion of the fluid-fitting tool and the fluid fitting are rotationally aligned and longitudinally overlap, the fluid-fitting tool can move longitudinally relative to the fluid fitting, and the fluid fitting is rotated when the fluid-fitting tool is rotated around a longitudinal axis of the passage.

Fluid-fitting tool

A dual-chamber syringe may include an end wall and a primary plunger. The primary plunger may include a primary stopper. The primary stopper may form a primary chamber with the end wall. A secondary plunger may be in mechanical association with the primary plunger. The secondary plunger may include a secondary stopper. The secondary stopper may form a secondary chamber with the primary stopper. A primary nozzle may extend from the end wall and may be in fluid communication with the primary chamber. A secondary nozzle may extend from the end wall and may be in fluid communication with the secondary chamber.

Dual-chamber syringe with dual-lumen intravenous set

Vented syringes are described herein. A vented syringe includes a syringe body and a plunger body. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity. The plunger body is at least partially disposed within the syringe cavity. The plunger body includes an air intake channel defined within the plunger body. The vented syringe further includes a plunger seal that is sealingly engaged with the syringe cavity to cooperatively define a syringe volume. The vented syringe further includes a one-way valve in fluid communication with the air intake channel and the syringe volume, wherein the one-way valve is configured to prevent fluid flow from the syringe volume to the air intake channel and permit fluid flow from the air intake channel to the syringe volume.

Vented syringe

An exemplary syringe adapter for coupling with a syringe may include a housing. A needle-free connector may be disposed in the housing. A communication member may be in slidable engagement with the housing. The communication member may be slidable, with respect to the housing, between an unactuated state and an actuated state of the syringe adapter. A cannula may extend from the communication. In the unactuated state, the cannula may be retracted within the needle-free connector. In the actuated state, the cannula may protrude through and axially beyond the needle-free connector.

IV spikes are described herein. An IV spike includes a spike body. The spike body can be formed of a first material and can include a spike portion converging to a point. The IV spike further includes at least one spike flow port formed through the spike body. The IV spike further includes a lower flow port in fluid communication with the at least one spike flow port. The IV spike can also include an overmolded engagement feature disposed around the spike body, wherein the overmolded engagement feature comprises a second material and is configured to retain the IV spike within an IV container.
