A portable lighting apparatus includes a handle, a light head pivotally coupled to the handle through a plurality of positions via a joint, a battery receptacle supported by the handle, a first light source supported in the light head, a second light source supported in the light head, and a user interface supported by the handle and configured to be selectively actuated by a user to operate the first light source and the second light source. The battery receptacle is configured to receive a rechargeable battery. The first light source includes a laser selectively operable to emit a single light wavelength, and the second light source includes one or more LEDs selectively operable to emit a distribution of light wavelengths.

Portable lighting apparatus

A battery pack including a housing having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis that extends between the first end and the second end, electrical terminals positioned within the housing and configured to engage and electrically couple with electrical terminals of a power tool, and a latch mechanism including an actuator and a latch member that is spaced apart from the actuator. The actuator has a distal end that is positioned adjacent the first end of the housing, a proximal end that is spaced apart from the distal end, and an actuating surface that extends between the distal end and the proximal end. The actuating surface has a gradually decreasing slope between the distal end and the proximal end.

A battery pack including a housing having a longitudinal axis, a first surface, and a second surface, electrical terminals positioned within the housing and configured to engage and electrically couple with electrical terminals of a power tool, and a latch mechanism including an actuator that is movable within an aperture in the first surface and a latch member movable within an aperture in the second surface. The latch member includes a first latch portion having a first inclined surface and a second latch portion having a second inclined surface that intersects the first inclined surface. The actuator is depressible to retract the latch member within the housing.

A rechargeable battery pack including a housing including a bottom wall and a top wall opposite the bottom wall, a plurality of battery cells at least partially positioned within the housing, and a latch mechanism. Where the latch mechanism includes a first linkage member having a contact surface accessible by the user from outside the housing, and where the contact surface is positioned proximate the bottom wall of the housing, a locking pawl movable with respect to the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position and in operable communication with the first linkage member, and where the locking pawl is positioned proximate the top wall of the housing.
