A wire disposing assembly having a support, an axial traverser sub-assembly, a support arm, and a linear stage is provided. The support is configured to receive a plurality of turns of a wire, where the support is configured to rotate. The axial traverser sub-assembly is operatively coupled to the support. Further, a rate of motion of the axial traverser sub-assembly is coupled to a speed of rotation of the support. The support arm includes a resin unit configured to dispose resin on at least a portion of the wire, and a wire disposing device configured to guide a portion of the wire being disposed on a surface of the support. The linear stage is operatively coupled to the support arm.

Systems for producing precision magnetic coil windings

A system for producing precision magnetic coil windings is provided. The system includes a wire disposing assembly having a support, an axial traverser sub-assembly, and a support arm. The support is configured to receive a plurality of turns of a wire. The axial traverser sub-assembly is operatively coupled to the support. The support arm includes a wire disposing device. The system further includes a linear stage, a monitoring unit, a feedback unit, and a controller unit. The linear stage is operatively coupled to the support arm. Moreover, the controller unit is configured to axially position an incoming portion of the wire and provide reference trajectories for tracking.

A fiber-optic dynamic sensing module comprises a support member, a beam extending from the support member, and a pre-strained fiber Bragg grating sensor and a strain-free fiber Bragg grating sensor mounted on the beam. The pre-strained and strain-free fiber Bragg grating sensors each comprise a Bragg grating inscribed in a fiber. The Bragg grating of the pre-strained fiber Bragg grating sensor is packaged more tightly along a longitudinal direction of the beam than the Bragg grating of the strain-free fiber Bragg grating sensor.

The controller selects which of various sources within the system provides fluid to the fluid motor based on the operating mode of the system. When fluid supplied to the fluid motor is discontinued, the energy storage device discharges providing power to the load.

Methods and system for generating electrical power from a pressurized fluid source

A robotic machine includes a robotic arm with a machine tool mounted thereto. A powder injector is mounted near the tool. A local powder feeder is mounted to the arm and includes a local conduit for supplying powder to the injector, and a load cell for measuring powder weight therein to control feedrate. A remote powder feeder is spaced from the arm, and includes a remote conduit joined to the local feeder for supplying powder thereto. A process computer controls the arm, and two feeders and effects staged delivery of the powder from the remote feeder to the local feeder for improving powder delivery response time.

The apparatus comprises at least one light source; at least one light detector assembly; a transport device; and a signal processor that receives the at least one signal from the at least one light detector assembly. The method comprises moving the quartz sand; illuminating the quartz sand to excite luminescence emission from impurities; receiving luminescence emission from the impurity; generating at least one signal indicative of the excited luminescence emission from the impurity; and determining if the signal represents an impurity in quartz sand.
