A redundant lighting driver system includes a primary driver and a backup driver. The primary driver and the backup driver are electrically coupled to receive an alternating current (AC) power from a power source. The primary driver or the backup driver power a light source at a time. The primary driver is configured to provide a primary power to the light source, and the backup driver is configured to provide a backup power to the light source when the primary power is unavailable. The backup driver is designed to withstand a larger power surge than the primary driver.

Redundant lighting driver system

A light fade controller includes an input power detection circuit configured to detect whether an input power is available. The light fade controller further includes a power discharge circuit configured to enable a power discharge path to discharge output power from a driver circuit through the power discharge path in response to the input power detection circuit detecting that the input power is unavailable. The power discharge circuit is also configured to adjust a rate of power discharge through the power discharge path, and the power discharge circuit either: a) includes a switch () that is controlled by a pulse width modulation (PWM) control signal to enable and disable the power discharge path and to adjust the rate of power discharge through the power discharge path, wherein a pulse width of the PWM signal is adjusted to enable and disable the power discharge path and to adjust the rate of power discharge through the power discharge path; or b) is configured to adjust the rate of power discharge based on a user input provided to the power discharge circuit.

Light turn-off fade time control

A system for locating an object in a volume of space can include a first electrical device disposed in the volume of space and having a first antenna and a first controller, where the first controller reduces a first default range of the first antenna to a first effective range. The system can also include an object disposed within the first effective range, where the first controller recognizes a first signal, using the first antenna, that identifies the object in the first effective range.

Location services using a light fixture

A lighting fixture includes a light source that emits an illumination light and a receiver configured to receive a lighting control message from a photo sensor device. The lighting fixture further includes a lighting controller configured to adjust the illumination light based on the lighting control message. Adjusting the illumination light by the lighting controller includes changing a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) of the illumination light.

Indoor lighting control based on outdoor light

A lighting device, comprises a light source configured to provide a low Cyanosis Observation Index (COI) white light having a total flux, the light source comprising a first group of LEDs configured to provide a wide blue light, a second group of LEDs configured to provide a wide green light, and a third group of LEDs configured to provide a wide red light, wherein the low COI white light is a combination of at least the wide blue light, the wide green light, and the wide red light, wherein a current provided to the light source is distributed among the first group of LEDs, the second group of LEDs, and the third group of LEDs such that the wide blue light contributes 7 percent to 9 percent of the total flux, the wide green light contributes 62 percent to 76 percent of the total flux, and the wide red light contributes 20 percent to 26 percent of the total flux, and wherein a COI of the low COI white light is less than 1.

Low cyanosis observation index luminaire

A system can include an object having a communication device, where the communication device of the object broadcasts a first signal from a first location within a volume of space at a first time. The system can also include a first electrical device and a second electrical device that receives the first signal in the volume of space. The system can also include a controller communicably coupled to the first electrical device and the second electrical device, where the controller determines a first strength of the first signal received by the first receiver, determines a second strength of the first signal received by the second receiver, scales the first signal relative to the second signal based on the first strength and the second strength, and determines a location of the object in the volume of space based on scaling the first signal relative to the second signal.

Location services using multiple light fixtures

A lighting device includes a first string of light emitting diodes (LEDs) configured to emit a warm white light having a warm Correlated Color Temperature (CCT). The lighting device further includes a second string of LEDs configured to emit a cool white light having a cool CCT. The lighting device also includes green light LEDs that emit a green light. A flux of the green light is controlled based on a flux of the cool white light or a flux of the warm white light. The flux of the warm white light and the flux of the cool white light change proportionally with respect to each other.

White light tuning

A lighting fixture includes a voltage source circuit and a first light module comprising a first current source circuit and a first light emitting diode (LED) light source. The lighting fixture further includes a second light module that includes a second current source circuit and a second LED light source. The voltage source circuit is configured to provide a voltage source output voltage to the first current source circuit and to the second current source circuit. The first current source circuit is configured to provide a first current to the first LED light source. The second current source circuit is configured to provide a second current to the second LED light source. A voltage level of the voltage source output voltage depends on a waveform of a line dimmer output voltage that is provided to the voltage source circuit.

Dimming control of lighting modules

A lighting device includes a light source that emits an illumination light. The light source includes a first group of light emitting diodes (LEDs) to emit a first light, a second group of LEDs to emit a second light, and a third group of LEDs to emit a third light. The second light is warmer light than the first light, and the third light is cooler light than the first light. The lighting device further includes a first difference amplifier that controls a first current flow through the second group of LEDs at least based on a magnitude of a current flowing through the light source. The lighting device also includes a second difference amplifier that controls a second current flow through the third group of LEDs at least based on the magnitude of the current flowing through the light source.

Single control LED dimming and white tuning

A driver of a lighting fixture includes a power circuitry configured to provide a first current to a first string of light emitting diodes (LEDs), a second current to a second string of LEDs, and a third current to a third string of LEDs that emit a third white light. The driver further includes a controller that controls the power circuitry to change an amount of the first current, an amount of the second current, and an amount of the third current to adjust a CCT of an output light provided by a lighting fixture. The output light includes two white lights from among the first white light, the second white light, and the third white light, where the first current, the second current, and the third current are adjustable independent of each other.

Multi-channel white light tuning

A lighting device includes a ferroresonant transformer that receives an alternating current (AC) power signal and outputs an output power signal. The lighting device further includes a rectifier coupled to the ferroresonant transformer. The rectifier rectifies the output power signal from the ferroresonant transformer and generates a rectified power signal. The lighting device also includes a dc-to-dc converter coupled to the rectifier, wherein the dc-to-dc converter receives the rectified power signal and generates a regulated power signal.

A lighting device include a first string of light emitting diodes (LEDs) to emit a white light having a warm white Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and a second string of LEDs. The second string of LEDs includes blue light LEDs that emit a blue light and green light LEDs that emit a green light. The lighting device further includes a tuning circuit to adjust an amount of current flowing through the second string of LEDs. The warm white light, the blue light and the green light produce a combined light, and a CCT of the combined light is tuned by adjusting the amount of current flowing through the second string of LEDs.
