The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising: (A) from 30 wt % to 94 wt % of a propylene component including at least one propylene-based polymer having a propylene content of at least 75 wt %, based on the total weight of the propylene-based polymer, and a melt flow rate of at least 10 g/10 minutes as measured by ISO 1133 at 230&#xb0; C./2.16 kg; (B) from 1 wt % to 50 wt % of a carbon fiber component; (C) from 5 wt % to 69 wt % of a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer; and, optionally, (D) from 0.1 wt % to 15 wt % of a compatibilization agent.

Propylene-based compositions comprising carbon fibers and a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer

The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising: (A) from 40 wt % to 95 wt % of a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer and (B) from 5 wt % to 60 wt % of a carbon fiber component. In certain embodiments, the composition of the present disclosure reaches a high level of stiffness while exhibiting a high level of toughness. Moreover, a decrease in gloss appearance and an improvement in resistance to abrasion are expected.

Thermoplastic polyolefin compositions useful for aldehyde abatement

A comprising includes one or more polyethylene, one or more polypropylene, one or more polyolefin elastomer, and a crystalline block composite having the following three components: (i) a crystalline ethylene based polymer, (ii) a crystalline propylene based polymer, and (iii) a block copolymer having a crystalline ethylene based block and a crystalline propylene block. The composition of component (i) is the same as the crystalline ethylene based block of the block copolymer and the composition of component (ii) is the same as the crystalline propylene block of the block copolymer. The composition is useful for forming rotomolded articles.

Compatibilized polyolefin blends

A polymer composition comprises at least an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer and at least one other polymer. The other polymer can be selected from a second ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer, an elastomer, a polyolefin, a polar polymer, and an ethylene/carboxylic acid interpolymer or ionomer thereof. The ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer is a block copolymer having at least a hard block and at least a soft block. The soft block comprises a higher amount of comonomers than the hard block. The block interpolymer has a number of unique characteristics disclosed here. Also provided are gaskets, bottle cap liners, and closures that comprise or obtained from a compositon comprising at least one ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer and at least one polyolefin. The gaskets are capable of compression sealing various containers, without contaminating the contents. Liquid containers particularly benefit from the use of the novel gasket materials disclosed herein.
