A coolant flow control module, having a first outer housing, a first rotor located in the first outer housing, a second outer housing adjacent the first outer housing, and a second rotor disposed in the second outer housing. The second rotor is engaged with the first rotor such that the first rotor and second rotor rotate in unison. An actuator is connected to the first rotor, a first plurality of ports is integrally formed as part of the first outer housing, and a second plurality of ports is integrally formed as part of the second outer housing. The actuator rotates the first rotor and second rotor to at least one of a plurality of orientations such that fluid is able to flow through the first plurality of ports and the first rotor, and fluid is able to flow through the second plurality of ports and the second rotor.

Coolant flow control module

A valve core for an electronic valve, which includes a valve head, and an armature. The valve head and the armature being connected to each other by means of a guide rod. The valve core is part of an electronic valve. The valve head and armature are connected by means of the guide rod, which reduces the cost for manufacturing the armature. The electronic valve includes an upper stator and a lower stator, an upper bearing and a lower bearing for guiding the guide rod, an elastic component for biasing the valve head, a sleeve surrounding the periphery of the armature, a bobbin which at least partially surrounds the sleeve, and a coil wound on the bobbin. The electronic valve of the present invention may be used as a compressed gas bypass valve of a turbocharged engine.

Valve core for an electronic valve

An exhaust throttling valve () is provided for a vehicle. The valve includes a body structure () having a bore () there-through. A shaft () is supported by the body structure for rotational movement. A valve member () is associated with the shaft such rotational movement of the shaft rotates the valve member. The valve member is disposed in the bore and is constructed and arranged to rotate between a first position substantially closing the bore and a second position at least partly opening the bore. A hard stop () is associated with the shaft so as to rotate therewith. First and second adjustment structures () are constructed and arranged so that upon rotation of the shaft in one direction, the hard stop engages the first adjustment structure and upon rotation of the shaft in a direction opposite the one direction, the hard stop engages the second adjustment structure, thus limiting travel of the valve member.

A bypass valve cartridge () is provided for permitting exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) flow to bypass a cooler port of a cooler of a vehicle. The cartridge () includes housing structure () constructed and arranged to be inserted into and mounted in a portion of a cooler (). Flapper structure () is disposed in the housing structure and movable between a first position permitting EGR flow to pass to a cooler port () and a second position substantially preventing EGR flow to pass to the cooler port.

Exhaust gas recirculation cooler bypass cartridge

A purge valve is in fluid communication between a fuel vapor collection canister and an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine. The purge valve includes a body, a seat, a head, and a solenoid. The body defines a fuel vapor flow path between a first port is in fluid communication with the fuel vapor collection canister, and a second port is in fluid communication with the intake manifold. The seat defines an aperture through which the fluid flow passes in an open configuration of the purge valve. The head includes a permanent magnet, and is attracted to the seat and occludes the aperture in a closed configuration of the purge valve. The solenoid repels the head toward the open configuration when the solenoid is energized, and the head occludes the aperture due to the magnetic attraction with the seat when the solenoid is de-energized.

Permanent magnet digital purge valve

A purge valve includes an aperture, a member, and an actuator. The aperture defines a portion of a vapor flow path that extends between a first port that communicates vapor with a fuel vapor collection canister and a second port that communicates vapor with an intake manifold. The member is displaced with respect to the aperture between a first configuration wherein the member occludes the aperture and a second configuration that permits vapor flow along the vapor flow path. The actuator displaces the member between the first and second configurations and includes an armature and a stator. The stator includes a winding that extends along an axis. And the armature, which is coupled to the member, surrounds the winding and includes a permanent magnet.

In radial cross section the channel is defined by radially inner and outer walls that form an open throat for the channel, allowing an end portion of the armature wall to move within the channel as the armature is displaced along the centerline. Various constructions for the inner and outer walls are disclosed, including tapers for both walls.
