A heat exchanger plate provides heat transfer between a first flow along a first flowpath and a second flow along a second flowpath. The heat exchanger plate has a substrate having: a first face and a second face opposite the first face; a leading edge along the second flowpath and a trailing edge along the second flowpath; a proximal portion having a plurality of inlet ports along the first flowpath and a plurality of outlet ports along the first flowpath; and a plurality of passageways along the first flowpath. Each passageway extends between a respective associated said inlet port of the plate and a respective associated said outlet port of the plate.

A heat exchanger for providing thermal energy transfer between first and second flows along first and second flowpaths has a plate bank having a plurality of plates. Each plate has: opposite first and second faces and leading and trailing edges along the second flowpath; a proximal edge having along the first flowpath: at least one inlet port; at least one outlet port; and at least one passageway. An inlet manifold has at least one inlet port and at least one outlet port. An outlet manifold has at least one outlet port and at least one inlet port. A shroud links distal portions of the plates.

For each plate, the manifold first face has a respective associated slot capturing a portion of the plate along the proximal edge thereof to prevent extraction of the plate normal to the manifold first face.

An investment casting process for manufacturing a cast component is provided. The investment casting process includes forming a core, casting the cast component about the core such that a core positioning feature provides a location of an anticipated pilot hole in the cast component, removing the core from the cast component once the casting is completed, locating, forming and sizing a pilot hole to form a resized pilot hole that can receive a sealing plug and installing the sealing plug into the resized pilot hole.

A component for a gas turbine engine includes, among other things, an airfoil that extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge and a cooling circuit disposed inside of the airfoil. The cooling circuit includes at least one core cavity that extends inside of the airfoil, a baffle received within the at least one core cavity, a plurality of pedestals positioned adjacent to the at least one core cavity and a first plurality of axial ribs positioned between the plurality of pedestals and the trailing edge of the airfoil.
