A self-contained, compact camera wash systemfor a droneor as an automotive aftermarket kituses a pressurized containersimilar to a common aerosol can to supply washer fluid to a washer nozzlevia actuable valving. The fluid supply container is small for use with drone cameras (e.g., &#x2dc;15 ml in volume) and is readily packaged in a compact assembly. For the automotive aftermarket kita larger volume container volume is provided and configured to be easily replaced as needed.

Self-contained camera wash system and method

A fluidic nozzle of the scanner type has its outlet spray pattern skewed from its chamber axis (A) by an amount determined by the asymmetry of its outlet orifice () about that axis. A spray assembly () of such nozzles, such as a showerhead, can be designed using nozzles with selected pattern skew angles to achieve desired spray coverage. Indexing tabs () and slots () are used to angularly position the nozzles in the showerhead. A portion of each nozzle may be formed with the showerhead faceplate () as an integral piece.

A conformal, cup-shaped fluidic oscillator spray nozzle member () is configured to generate one or more oscillating sprays from fluid flowing into a substantially open proximal end and distally into a substantially closed distal end wall with one or more centrally located orifices defined therein. A multi-input, multi-output cup-shaped fluidic oscillator () is configured to generate a selected fluid spray from a plurality of (e.g., 2-8) fluid product inlets which are configured in interacting pairs and feed into a common interaction region of the fluidic nozzle geometry. Optionally, an outlet 'A' can be positioned in the interaction region and allow for air entrainment into the interaction region or external oscillating spray streams to generate a foamed spray of fluid product.

An external lens washing system has an aiming fixture configured to support and constrain an external lens which is exposed to the elements and apt to become soiled with debris. A method is presented for controlling operation of a power tool having an electric motor drivably coupled to an output spindle. The method includes: receiving an input indicative of a clutch setting for an electronic clutch, where the clutch setting is selectable from a plurality of driver modes; setting the value of a maximum current threshold in accordance with the selected one of the plurality of driver modes; determining rotational speed of the electric motor; determining an amount of current being delivered to the electric motor; comparing the amount of current being delivered to the electric motor to the maximum current threshold; and interrupting transmission of torque to the output spindle when the amount of current being delivered to the electric motor exceeds the maximum current threshold and the rotational speed of the electric motor is decreasing.

Electronic clutch for power tool

A long throw Pop-Up Irrigation Nozzle assembly has no oscillating or rotating parts and includes a cylindrical body having a fluid inlet and a sidewall defining at least one fluidic circuit configured to generate a selected spray pattern when irrigation fluid flows through the body. In order to throw long distance, droplet velocity, droplet size and droplet initial aim angle determine the throw to provide a low precipitation rate ('PR') for fluidic sprays. The nozzle assembly and method of the present invention achieve a PR of 1 in/hr or less and good spray distribution with a scheduling coefficient ('SC') of about 1.5 without utilizing any moving components to provide a significantly more cost effective nozzle assembly, as compared to prior art rotator nozzles.

Irrigation nozzle assembly and method

A power tool includes a motor housing defining a first air chamber with a first air inlet that receives a motor. A handle extending from the motor housing defines a second air chamber with a second air inlet that receives an electronics control module. A third air chamber with an air outlet receives a fan coupled to the motor output shaft. The fan: (a) pulls a first ambient airstream through the first air chamber from the first air inlet and into the third air chamber, bypassing the second air chamber, to cool the motor; (b) pulls a second ambient airstream through the second air chamber from the second air inlet and into the third air chamber, bypassing the first air chamber, to cool the electronics module; and (c) exhausts the first and second airstreams from the third air chamber via the air outlet.

A power tool includes a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a transmission disposed in the housing and coupled to the motor, an output end effector coupled to the transmission, a control circuit for controlling power delivery from a power source to the motor, and a force sensing electronic clutch including a force sensor coupled to a substantially stationary element of the transmission. The force sensor senses a reaction torque transmitted from the end effector to at least a portion of the transmission. The sensor is configured to generate a first electronic signal corresponding to an amount of the reaction torque. The control circuit compares the first electronic signal with a second electronic signal corresponding to a desired threshold torque value, and initiates a protective operation when a value of the first electronic signal indicates that the reaction torque has exceeded the desired threshold torque value.

An improved fluidic device that operates on a pressurized liquid flowing through it at a specified flow rate to generate an oscillating spray of liquid droplets having desired properties (e.g., average spatial distribution, size, velocity, frequency and wavelength of liquid droplets at a defined distance in front of the device) includes: (a) a plurality of fluidic oscillators, each having a channel that is part of a fluidic circuit for inducing oscillations in the pressurized liquid that flows through the oscillator, (b) a housing having an exterior surface that includes a front face with a center-point and a rear face, (c) a plurality of passages, each of which extends through the housing and intersects with its front face to define an outlet, with each passages configured to allow for the insertion of one of the plurality of fluidic oscillators into each of the plurality of passages, and (d) a geometrical arrangement of these outlets in the housing front face that is chosen so as to achieve the desired properties of the oscillating spray when the device is operating at its specified flow rate.

A drug inhaler of the type having an air jet entraining liquid medicine at an entrainment region from a medicine reservoir and nebulize or atomize entrained liquid by impacting a liquid medicine-laden air jet on a flat surface, and deliver the atomized medicine to a patient via a medicine delivery channel. A breath-activated fluidic switch has a power nozzle coupled to a source of air under pressure. The fluidic breath-activated switch has a pair of diverging legs, one of the diverging legs has a control port connected to sense inhalation of the patient, the other of the legs is coupled to the medicine entrainment region, whereby the entrainment of medicine at the medicine entrainment region is prevented by air supplied to the medicine entrainment region from the other of the legs in the absence of sensed patient inhalation at the control port. The fluidic control port is located downstream of the power nozzle a predetermined distance downstream of the wall attachment point.
