Facilitating radio access network on-demand dynamic bandwidth allocation in advanced networks is provided herein. Operations of a system include determining that a group of network slice resources associated with network equipment fail to satisfy a specification applicable to a user equipment. The operations can also include extracting a first group of resource blocks from a first network slice resource of the group of network slice resources. Further, the operations can include reallocating the first group of resource blocks to a second network slice resource of the group of network slice resources. A combination of the first group of resource blocks and a second group of resource blocks of the second network slice resource is determined to satisfy the specification applicable to the user equipment.

Facilitating radio access network on-demand dynamic bandwidth allocation in advanced networks

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving workload requests for tenant devices providing services to user devices; partitioning node resources to facilitate network slicing in a software defined network to provide the services; determining that the workload requests exceed available resources of the node; and outsourcing a portion of a load to one or more neighboring nodes, where the outsourcing is performed in coordination with a regional orchestrator and a SDN intelligence module. Other embodiments are disclosed.

System and method of software defined network enabled slicing as a service utilizing artificial intelligence

Network slicing can provide logical network partitioning. This introduces a high degree of flexibility to support devices with different requirements in terms of quality of service, as well as to optimize the network usage. However, each one of these networks can be used for distinct business purposes. Thus, individual slice surveillance statistics, including failure messages, can be utilized to alert other slices that share the same infrastructure. Thus, an early recovery action can be prompted based on a single slice's anomalies being shared with other slices.

Detecting and preventing network slice failure for 5G or other next generation network

The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed, in part, to a system that can monitor traffic traversing a virtualized network that includes a plurality of virtual network functions ('VNFs') that provide, at least in part, a service. The system can capture an event from the traffic. The event can involve at least one VNF, and can negatively affect at least one operational aspect of the virtualized network in providing the service. The system can create snapshot that represents a network state of the virtualized network during the event. The system can create, based upon the snapshot, a shadow network. The shadow network can include a network emulation of the network state of the virtualized network during the event. The system can determine, from the shadow network, at least one modification to at least a portion of the virtualized network that would at least mitigate negative effects of the event.

A method and system to economically monitor an optical OOK signal that can detect perceptible changes in signal quality and identify the type of optical impairment causing the change. The invention requires a new and novel combination of known techniques to create an eye diagram of the transmitted pulse in a wavelength division multiplexing systems and then removing the noise from the eye diagram. Economy of operation is achieve by using asynchronous sampling techniques for generating the eye diagram. The resulting 'cleaner' eye diagram is then analyzed to identify any changes in performance. In the preferred embodiment, the analysis is conducted on histograms generated from eye diagram, the histograms are computed at a number of points across the optical signal pulse period.
