In one embodiment, a direct current bus is disclosed. The direct current bus is a four conductor bus and comprises a positive voltage conductor, a neutral conductor, a negative voltage conductor, and a safety ground. The direct current bus may be implemented in a photovoltaic system to interconnect various components of the photovoltaic system.

Multi-section portable electronic torch

An electronic torch is disclosed which includes at least one light emitting diode disposed in each one of a plurality of sections of the electronic torch. In one embodiment, each one of the plurality of sections of the electronic torch is independently selectable to activate the at least one light emitting diode disposed in each one of the plurality of sections of the electronic torch. In another embodiment, a mobile device may be connected to the electronic torch and provide instructions to the torch via a wired or wireless connection.

The present invention is directed to a belt-type carrier comprising a two-layer belt which is convenient, easily accessible, and adjustable for carrying multiple tapes or CDs. A belt type carrier having features of the present invention comprises a two-layer belt made from a flexible material such as neoprene, canvas, leather, nylon, or any other suitable material. Cassette, tape or CD sized openings are formed between the two layers of the belt. A second embodiment of said invention is a sash type carrier having openings formed therein. A third embodiment of the invention combines a sash carrier and a belt carrier into a single accessory.

An electrical brush contact apparatus for conveying electrical power from a vehicle power source to the wheels of vehicles having dual-tandem pairs of wheels includes a brush ring positioned at the juncture between the inner and outer rims of the front pair of dual-tandem vehicle wheels and the inner and outer rims of the rear pair of dual-tandem vehicle wheels. Each of the brush rings is electrically insulated from the rims with which it is associated by a flat insulating member or an insulating extrusion. Each pair of insulating extrusions and brush ring are coupled for rotation in concert with the wheels of the vehicle. Front and rear support members having idler pulleys thereon are suspended between the inner and outer pair of dual wheels and between the front and rear pair of tandem wheels. A belt, coupled between each one of the brush rings and an adjacent one of the idler pulleys, is driven by the brush ring. A central turnbuckle is employed to adjustably couple the front and rear support members, thereby providing adjustment for the tension of the belts driven by the brush rings. Electrical power from the vehicle is connected to the front and rear support members and thence to the brush rings by way of brushes that are connected to the front and rear support members and that are also in electrical contact with the brush rings. The electrical power conveyed to the rotating brush rings may then be connected to lighting systems, sensors, etc.

Apparatus for conveying electrical power to dual-tandem vehicle wheels

The invention relates to a lighting system for vehicle wheels and comprises a disk assembly which facilitates the electrical attachment of a rotating light with a stationary electrical power source of a vehicle. Further, the invention includes a mounting system for mounting a disk to the lugs of the vehicle on the inside of the wheel. The disk comprises first and second coaxially mounted electrically conductive rings which remain in continuous electrical contact when rotated relative to each other. The mounting system includes an electrically conductive portion and an insulator portion which electrically separates the mounting assembly from the first and second rings; the electrically conductive portion of the mounting means being used to electrically ground the rotating lights.
