A method for healing a soft tissue defect while promoting soft tissue regeneration can include applying a soft tissue device to a soft tissue defect, wherein the composite material includes a gel and a nanostructure disposed within the gel. A method for manufacturing a soft tissue device for use in healing soft tissue defects can include providing a gel, disposing nanofibers within the gel, and a biologically active material.

The presently disclosed composition and methods are provided for a hydrogel or nanofiber-hydrogel composite integrated with a surgical scaffold or mesh. Fiber-hydrogel composite surgical meshes for tissue repair

The present invention is directed to a device and method for a nanofiber wrap to minimize inflation and scarring of nerve tissue and maximize the nutrient transport. More particularly, the present invention is directed to a novel semi-permeable nanofiber construct prepared from biocompatible materials. The nanofiber construct is applied around a nerve repair site following end-to-end anastomosis. The nanofiber construct is porous and composed of randomly oriented nanofibers prepare using an electrospinning method. The nanofiber construct has a wall that is approximately 50-100 &#x3bc;m thick with pores smaller than 25 &#x3bc;m. The nanofiber construct prevents inflammatory cells from migrating into the nerve coaption site, while still permitting the diffusion of growth factors and essential nutrients. The nanofiber construct allows for enhanced neuroregeneration and optimal function outcomes.

The disclosure relates to a taco holder wherein a blank is provided with a central region and four legs extending outwardly from the central region, a pair of adjacent legs on each side of the central region. Each leg is in the shape of a right triangle with each leg being secured to the central region at a crease. Each leg includes a notch at a portion thereof remote from the central region, a pair of legs on opposite sides of the central region being opposed to each other whereby the notches therein can mate and form a V-shaped trough. Two such V-shaped troughs are thereby formed to support a taco therein. An adhesive material can be disposed on a surface of the central region to secure the taco holder to a table or the like to free the hands of the taco maker and also to prevent sliding of the taco during preparation or eating thereof.
