One aspect of the invention is directed to shooting rests for supporting a firearm having a first portion and a second portion rearward of the first portion. In one embodiment, a shooting rest includes a frame, a front support for supporting the first portion of the firearm, a support member for carrying one or more weights, and a stop for inhibiting rearward movement of the firearm relative to the shooting rest. The front support is coupled to the frame, and the support member is positioned at least proximate to the frame. The stop includes a flexible portion and is also coupled to the frame.

Firearm supporting devices (e.g., firearm vises), methods of assembling firearm supporting devices, and methods of packaging firearm supporting devices are disclosed herein. One aspect is directed to a firearm supporting device for supporting a firearm having a first section and a second section spaced apart from the first section. In one such embodiment, a firearm supporting device includes a base, a first support for carrying the first section of the firearm, and a second support for carrying the second section of the firearm. The base includes a first portion and a second portion configured to be attached to the first portion. The first portion is fixed relative to the second portion when the first and second portions are attached. The first support is configured to project from the first portion of the base. The second support is configured to project from the second portion of the base.

Firearm supporting devices, methods of assembling firearm supporting devices, and methods of packaging firearm supporting devices

Attachment mechanisms for attaching firearms to support structures are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an attachment mechanism for attaching a firearm to a support structure includes an interface member coupled to a latching subassembly. The latching subassembly includes having an attachment portion and a latching arm. The attachment portion is configured to engage a connector fastened to the firearm through the aperture, and the latching arm lockably retains the attachment portion proximate to the interface member.

Attachment mechanisms for coupling firearms to supporting structures

Shooting rests having elevation adjustment assemblies are disclosed herein. One embodiment of the disclosure, for example, is directed to a shooting rest for supporting a firearm having a buttstock spaced apart from a forestock. The shooting rest includes a first base portion carrying a first support for supporting the buttstock and a second base portion coupled to the first base portion and carrying a second support for supporting the forestock. The second base portion includes a body having an opening extending therethrough, and a height adjustment member slidably positioned in the opening. The height adjustment member has a non-circular cross-sectional shape in a plane that is generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the height adjustment member. The height adjustment member is attached to the second support and configured to adjust a height of the second support. The second base portion includes a biasing member contacting the height adjustment member to at least partially inhibit movement of the height adjustment member through the opening.

Adjustable shooting rests and shooting rest assemblies are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a shooting rest includes a rest assembly for supporting a forestock of a firearm. The rest assembly includes a base member and first and second upright members extending from the base member. A position of each of the first and second upright members is independently adjustable with reference to the base member. The shooting rest also includes a support assembly coupled to the rest assembly to move the rest assembly in a first direction and in a second direction. The first and second directions are in a plane generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the firearm. The shooting rest further includes a base coupled to the support assembly.

Adjustable shooting rests and shooting rest assemblies

Systems and containers for organizing and carrying tools and tool sets are disclosed herein. One aspect of the invention is directed to systems and containers for efficiently organizing tools for specific work tasks, such as gunsmith tools, etc. In one embodiment, a container for carrying and organizing tools includes a housing having a base portion and a lid portion. The lid portion can be pivotally attached to the base portion. The container can also include a plurality of recesses disposed in an internal portion of the container in a recess pattern. The recesses can be configured to releasably retain the tools in the housing. The container also includes an insertable tool position guide having a plurality of images in an image pattern, wherein the image pattern can correspond to the recess pattern. In addition to tool positional information, the tool position guide can also communicate tool identification information.

System and container for organizing and carrying tools and tool sets

Adjustable firearm supports, and more specifically adjustable bipods, are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a firearm support includes a stock mount assembly configured to support a forestock of the firearm and an attachment assembly carried by the stock mount assembly. The attachment assembly is configured to releasably attach to the forestock of the firearm. The firearm support also includes first and second legs operably coupled to the support plate. Each leg is pivotable between a stowed position and an extended position. In the stowed position the legs are generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the firearm, and in the extended position the legs are generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the firearm.

Adjustable firearm supports and associated methods of use and manufacture

Bipods and mounting devices for attaching to and supporting firearms, more specifically, bipods which allow independent tension-adjustable movement around two axes. For example, the bipod assembly can be tension-adjusted with a first cam lock for cant movement and can be tension-adjusted with a second cam lock for pivotal movement. Accordingly, independently tension-adjustable and lockable pivot and cam adjustments are provided by this bipod assembly.
