A computer-implemented method that, when executed by data processing hardware, causes data processing hardware to perform operations comprising receiving a service request associated with a service request button of a vehicle, receiving one or more service button engagement scoring inputs each associated with a corresponding vehicle status, calculating a service request confidence score based on the one or more service button engagement scoring inputs, assigning a service request cancellation period based on the one or more service button engagement scoring inputs, determining whether a cancellation request is received within the service request cancellation period, and either cancelling the service request when the cancellation request is received within the service request cancellation period, or transmitting the service request to a service provider when the cancellation request is not received within the service request cancellation period.

Presented are automated vehicle systems for provisioning manufacturing mode (MM) for connected vehicles, methods for making/using such systems, and wireless-enabled vehicles with MM functionality. A method of controlling operation of a vehicle includes receiving an MM-install signal indicating the vehicle has reached a predefined assembly line location during vehicle assembly. When at this predefined location, the vehicle is installed with an MM operating mode, which contains a predefined spatial limitation, a preset MM start trigger, and an anti-theft protocol. A controller of the vehicle activates the MM operating mode responsive to detecting the vehicle experiencing the preset MM start trigger while within the predefined spatial limitation. With the MM operating mode active, the vehicle controller uses the anti-theft protocol to determine if the vehicle experiences a predefined theft trigger; if so, the controller commands a resident anti-theft system to automate a remediating action to thwart theft of the vehicle.

A process and system to detect and provide notification of a potential effect of a thermal event related to a vehicle and a process for updating thermal event probability of a specific area based on an effect of a vehicle are provided. Identifying potential vehicle thermal events and determining their potential effect in order to provide information related to the risk to both vehicle occupants and the proper authorities facilitates providing alerts and possible evacuation routes, and facilitates authorities providing the proper response. The controller is adapted to determine a respective status of the vehicle set in real-time, including a respective availability and a respective proximity to the event. The controller is adapted to dispatch selected ones of the vehicle set to the event based in part on the respective status and assign event duties to the selected ones of the vehicle set. The event duties including forming a boundary around the at least one center of the event by being physically stationed around the at least one center.

After determining the vehicle is both parked and in a VPES state, the controller detects a thermal event in a battery cell of the vehicle's battery system. Upon detection of the thermal event, the controller responsively determines path plan data with a designated route for extricating the vehicle from the parking area. The controller then commands the vehicle's autonomous driving system to execute control operations maneuvering the vehicle away from the parking area.

Determining a priority of a call is based on information received by an enterprise from a call from a vehicle with an integrated communication device where the call is placed into an on-hold queue to be answered based on its priority. Data from the vehicle with the integrated communication device includes at least a type of call, an account information associated with the vehicle, a vehicle data, and a location of the vehicle. The enterprise determines the priority of the call in the on-hold queue based on the data received from the vehicle with the integrated communication device.
