The present document discloses a circuitry for delaying a digital input signal. In particular, the circuitry may comprise a delay cell circuit and a reciprocal current digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The delay cell circuit may be coupled to the reciprocal current DAC. More particularly, the reciprocal current DAC may be configured to output a charge current to the delay cell circuit according to a value of a control input provided to the reciprocal current DAC. The charge current output by the reciprocal current DAC may be inversely proportional to the value of the control input, wherein the delay depends on the charge current.

Linear delay generation circuitry and method

A DC-DC switching converter soft start method is provided, using a scaled switch size. An increased switch resistance, higher than the normal operating switch resistance, is achieved during the startup of the switching converter. The on-resistance of the high side switch, together with a minimum duty cycle, reduces the peak inductor current of the switching converter. After a startup period, the switching converter reverts back to a normal switch resistance.

Switching converter soft start method using scaled switch size

A circuit and method provides compensation for disturbance of an output voltage caused by dielectric absorption of a load capacitor of a low dropout voltage regulator after a modification of the output voltage level of the low dropout voltage regulator. A dielectric absorption current compensation circuit generates a profile current that is applied to an output of the low dropout voltage regulator and in parallel with the load capacitor to compensate for the dielectric absorption current. The dielectric absorption current compensation circuit has a programmable profile current generator that generates the profile current. A switchable current mirror transfers a mirror profile compensation current to the load capacitor to compensate for the dielectric absorption current. In some embodiments, the profile current is a continuous profile dielectric absorption compensation current and in other embodiments, the profile current is a digital profile dielectric absorption compensation current.

Circuit to control the effect of dielectric absorption in dynamic voltage scaling low dropout regulator

A low dropout voltage regulator circuit that dynamically adjusts its output voltage has a voltage adjustment circuit in communication with a dynamic voltage controlling circuit for modifying the output voltage of the low dropout voltage regulator. A first amplification circuit is connected to receive an adjusted reference voltage from the voltage adjustment circuit and compare it with a feedback signal from the output voltage to provide a drive signal to a signal input terminal of a follower output transistor. An output terminal of the follower output transistor provides the output voltage of the regulation circuit. An adjustable internal load circuit applies a load current to the output terminal of the follower output transistor to increase the bandwidth of the output of the voltage regulation circuit that is sensed by a dynamic biasing sensing circuit to generate a dynamic biasing signal that modifies the bandwidth of the first amplification circuit.

Low drop-out voltage regulator with dynamic voltage control

A programmable current source programmable current source circuit has DAC current source providing an incrementally programmable current levels. A programmable reference current source adjusts a compliance factor of the DAC current source. An input adjustment code indicating an output current amplitude is adjusted by a adjustment code modification circuit when the output current is less than the activation compliance level and generates a signal to set the reference current to a lower level to adjust the compliance factor of the DAC current source to a lower level to decrease power dissipation in the programmable current source at lower current levels.
