A system and method for producing a medical bag with an HF welder that uses upper and lower dies each having a plurality of electrode lamellae arranged such that they are alternatingly polarized relative to adjacent lamellae and opposing lamellae. The aim of the invention is to avoid the risk of contamination of a bag for medical purposes, in particular to significantly reduce the amount of residual particles of material during the cutting of a tube for access to the bag. System and method for manufacturing a bag for medical purposes

The invention relates to an apparatus for welding a joining region of a foil to a connecting part, particularly two foils to a tubular connecting part. Conventional apparatuses are associated with the risk of steep workpiece flanges causing uncontrolled weaknesses in the foil and the weld seam. According to the invention, an extension of the foil outside of the joining region is provided in a controlled manner such that the foil has spare length.
