This application provides a display apparatus and an electronic device. A transparent dielectric layer is added to the display apparatus, metal is deposited on the transparent dielectric layer, to form a metal grid, and a part of the metal grid is used as a radiator of an antenna structure. After an antenna is integrated into the display apparatus, through optimization of an optical design, the metal grid may meet a requirement for optical transmittance, and display effect is not obviously affected. In addition, because the antenna structure is integrated into the display apparatus, coverage space of a wireless signal is increased. This avoids occurrence of a signal blind region, so that the electronic device has a more reliable connection in a millimeter-wave band, to meet a communication requirement.

Display apparatus and electronic device

A foldable mobile device is provided. The device includes an antenna cavity substantially enclosed by at least four conductor walls, and a gap between two substantially perpendicular conductor walls at a first side of the antenna cavity. The device further includes a cavity extension extending at a direction substantially perpendicular to the first side of the cavity and aligned with the gap. Devices, methods, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium are disclosed.

Device and a method for an antenna with a cavity extension

A display assembly, a client device having the display assembly, and a method of manufacturing the display assembly are disclosed. Antenna performance in, e.g., mobile devices is improved via a robust and multifunctional multi-layer glass structure for a display of the mobile device or the like which allows placing auxiliary antenna elements between layers of the display structure. The structure allows placing the auxiliary antenna elements at different positions within it. The auxiliary antenna elements can be placed under and/or within the display, instead of, for example, surrounding the display. The multi-layer structure is continuous from the display surface to the substrate and gives freedom to place the auxiliary antenna elements, including metal elements, between any layers of the structure.

Display assembly, client device comprising the display assembly, and method of manufacturing the display assembly

Embodiments relate to patch antennas and devices utilizing patch antennas. Some embodiments comprise at least two different arrays of conductive patches arranged on one side of a dielectric substrate. Each of the at least two arrays of conductive patches supports a different frequency band. Moreover, each of the at least two arrays of conductive patches is provided with separated feeding. Additionally, each conductive patch of one or more of the at least two arrays of conductive patches is implemented as a combination two conductive sub-patches separated by a gap. In some embodiments, the patch antenna is suitable for integration into a display structure of a UE or other device.

Multi-band multi-feed patch antenna and user equipment comprising the same

An antenna assembly includes a first antenna array and at least one second antenna array disposed a substrate. The first antenna array includes a first monopole antenna element and at least a second monopole antenna element. A metal strip member is coupled to the first monopole antenna element and to the second monopole antenna element. The second antenna array comprises a dipole shaped coupler. The first antenna array and the second antenna array are spaced apart by a predetermined distance and occupy a common space.

Dual polarization connected antenna array

A beam steering antenna structure comprising a printed circuit board and a conductive component, a first wall and a second wall of the printed circuit board being juxtaposed with a first surface of the conductive component, the second wall abutting and being galvanically connected to the first surface. A second surface of the conductive component extends at an angle from the first surface. A connecting surface extends between the first wall and the second wall such that a groove is formed, the groove being partially juxtaposed to the first surface. The groove comprises a first antenna array and a second antenna array transmitting or receiving, respectively, a first radiation beam and a second radiation beam having orthogonal polarizations. The second surface steers at least one of the first or second radiation beam in a direction away from or towards the connecting surface.

A redirecting structure for electromagnetic waves, the redirecting structure comprising a first reflection passage formed between a first conductive element and a second conductive element, and an antenna structure comprising an antenna element and a radiation passage extending from the antenna element in a first direction. The antenna structure is connected to the first reflection passage at a first interface, the first reflection passage extending in a second direction different from the first direction. A first reflective structure is associated with an interior of the first reflection passage and is arranged at a predetermined distance from the first interface such that electromagnetic waves propagating from the antenna structure into the first reflection passage are reflected to the radiation passage by the first reflective structure.

An electronic device comprises a housing having a first side and a second side, a dielectric cover () on said second side, and an electrically conductive peripheral structure along edges of said first and second sides. An antenna feed () is coupled to a portion () of said peripheral structure for using said portion () as a radiating antenna element. The purpose of the conductive member is to enlarge the surface area where the electric field is distributed on to increase the antenna aperture for radiation.

A beam steering antenna structure comprises a stacked antenna module and a first conductive component. The antenna module comprises a first substrate and a second substrate arranged superjacent such that main planes of the substrates extend in parallel. The first substrate comprises a first antenna array transmitting and receiving a first radiation beam. The second substrate comprises a second antenna array transmitting and receiving a second radiation beam. The first conductive component extends adjacent to the antenna module and is at least partially separated from the antenna module in a first direction perpendicular to the main plane of the conductive component. The antenna module is coupled to the conductive component by means of at least one of a galvanic, capacitive, or inductive coupling. At least one of the first and the second radiation beams is at least partially steered away from the other one by the first conductive component.

The connector () comprises a first connector element () associated with the first mmWave module (). A communication device for wireless communication includes a housing having a front dielectric cover, a back dielectric cover, a metal frame circumferentially arranged between the front dielectric cover and the back dielectric cover, and an aperture. The metal frame forms a first antenna that is configured to radiate in a first set of frequency bands. The communication device further includes a circuit arranged inside the housing. The circuit is electrically isolated from the metal frame and includes at least one first feed line coupled to the metal frame and configured to feed the first antenna with a first set of radio frequency signals in the first set of frequency bands. The communication device further includes a second antenna arranged inside the housing and configured to radiate in a second frequency band non-overlapping with the first frequency band.

An electronic device includes a housing having a first side and a second side, a dielectric cover on the second side, and an electrically conductive peripheral structure along edges of the first and second sides. An antenna feed is coupled to a portion of the peripheral structure for using the portion as a radiating antenna element. A conductive member is located on or underneath the dielectric cover. A purpose of the conductive member is to enlarge the surface area where the electric field is distributed on to increase the antenna aperture for radiation.

An antenna arrangement for a user equipment is disclosed. The antenna arrangement comprises a first antenna element configured to operate at frequencies above a limit frequency, a second antenna element configured to operate at frequencies below the limit frequency, and a wave trap configured to resonate within a frequency band above the limit frequency. The wave trap is connected to the second antenna element.
