An electrical connector includes: an insulative housing having a slot; plural contacts secured in the insulative housing and exposed to the slot; and a metallic shell mounted to the insulative housing and having a top plate, a bottom plate, and a connecting part connected to the top plate at an upper end thereof and connected to the bottom plate at a lower end thereof, wherein the top plate has a pair of actuating arms and the connecting part has a pair of locking arms, and the top plate is movable about the upper end of the connecting part to actuate the pair of locking arms by the pair of actuating arms.

An electrical connector includes an elongate insulative housing defining a central slot extending along a longitudinal direction, and two rows of contacts disposed by two sides of the central slot. The housing forms a front receiving cavity to receive the corresponding mating tongue of the complementary connector, and a rear receiving cavity to receive the corresponding insulators wherein each insulator is integrally formed with each row of contacts via insert-molding for completing the whole contact module. Each grounding contact is equipped with the corresponding EMI absorber before being insert-molded within the insulator so as to have the corresponding EMI absorber also integrally formed with the insulator.

An electrical connector includes: a housing; and plurality terminal groups held on the housing, each terminal group including a pair of signal terminals, a first shielding sheet for shielding the pair of signal terminals on at least one side, and a second shielding sheet for shielding the signal terminals on at least another side; wherein the first shielding sheet and the second shielding sheet of each terminal group are electrically connected, and the first shielding sheet of one of the terminal groups is electrically connected to the second shielding sheet of an adjacent terminal group.

An electrical assembly includes mated plug connector and receptacle connector. The plug connector includes an insulative main body, a flat flexible cable attached upon the main body, a rotatable presser assembled upon the main body and retaining the flat flexible cable in position, and a metallic unitary latch assembled upon the main body with pair of resilient latches on two opposite lateral sides. Correspondingly, the receptacle connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing, a metallic shell enclosing the housing, and a metallic cover attached upon the shell to shield the rear side of the receptacle connector.
